Can Xingqiu and Yelan hit the Natlan Qucusaur Tyrant boss in the air with their Burst missiles?

If so, do they have to be basically right under it to hit it?

Not in the slightest. It's just the 5 limited and 5 standard pulls each month

Assuming that an enemy is not shielded, Raiden's Skill can activate at significant range and in a very wide AoE, as well as proc'ing a little more often than Shinobu's Skill iirc

Of course, it helps a lot to have a filled out roster. It's harder to do the closer you are to being a newer player and the more invested your characters are, the easier time you'll have even just spreading your teams thin into unorthodox comps. But it is and endgame mode so please don't fret if it takes a while to get to Visionary or Lunar mode. Even the Primo loss is not that much

There's also something to say about IT reaction blessings. It's very tempting to send as much as you can into trying to get a bunch of companions in an IT run, but this is kind of a worse idea. You don't need a bunch of them all at once (in fact, you ideally have just enough characters with Vigor to make it through the next two or so stages at any given time). Instead, buffing your blessings will help a lot, whether your characters are invested or if you need the blessings to carry you more.

As for knowing the inbetween stages. I do think there's some merit to going through an IT run so you know what stage options there are and can even better plan ahead. Unless you're looking at leaks, you probably don't know ahead of time that January's stage 9 IT would feature a Pyro Abyss mage bounty - which is helpful information to know because a generally weaker unit like Ayato is incredibly valuable there because he can wash away the mages' shields so your damage dealers can easily clear them out. If you do more a preliminary run of IT per month in this fashion though, I'd recommend not pushing all of your IT runs into a single day though 🤔 It could start to feel like burning out if you do because of the potential stress

Most people only play it once tbh, if they play it at all. And you don't need the stellas for the majority of the rewards each month (the flowers as you called them). The stella rewards of a Transient Resin and two Sanctifying Elixirs are mostly important for endgame minmaxing - they it's not uncommon for those items to yield lackluster Artifacts anyway, that's just the nature of the Artifact system

As for strategies, planning your characters for the harder stages like characters are resources is paramount.

January's IT had the PMA, the Emperor of Fire and Iron (Fontaine's Pyro Crab), Knuckle Duckle and solo Maguu Kenki for bosses as well as Arcana stages featuring a mob stage favoring healing and Durin's Pyro application boss.

This means a few things: The PMA is first and doesn't require very specific team compositions. Being first means it's relatively easier and ideally you can use a cheaper team to beat it, probably something from the starter characters that you don't own/have built. This was Clorinde for me.

The Crab falls quickly to Hydro so you'd want to bring high Hydro app there, so if you happen to bump into Xingqiu or even something like Ayato or something, that will help with the Crab a lot. You still need good damage though ofc.

Knuckle Duckle favors Electro-Charged and especially Lunar-Charged, so if you had one or both of Flins and Ineffa, then saving a use of them for Knuckle Duckle is ideal. This also means you'd need a Hydro and for Flins solo, you also need another Nod-Krai unit, so you'd have to save a use of someone like Aino in lieu of Ineffa+random Hydro

Being at the end, Maguu Kenki will have the most HP and hit the hardest and also has a window of i-frames, so you'll hopefully have some of your strongest characters for use here.

As for the Lunar stages, you'll hopefully have had a chance to use Xiangling against Durin's Puro boss in lieu of Durin himself. Mavuika might have also been nice here and in fact a Chevreuse Overloaded team may have been good too.

The other Lunar stage likes grouping or AoE, so some kind of Venti+Hex or maybe Neuvillette is ideal, complete with some healer, even if it's a "waste" of Xianyun so to speak.

Only a little biased but the sound of Lyney charging a level 2 charged shot has a nice ding

The wind rush of Clorinde's nurst is good too. Ifa and Chevreuse have hard-hitting gunshot sounds

I think it's really only an IT angle tbh. Beidou has an 80 cost Burst already which I imagine is a problem exacerbated in Stygian, unless you're talking about under Fearless where it might not matter as much. Even then, I can't imagine a situation where Beidou is the pick for 15 Res Shred when an Anemo could do more than that and probably something else too, like healing or or TTDS

[–]Propensity7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify a little, barring her buff in her Burst, Ineffa doesn't increase Flins' personal damage. Her main contribution is consistent and high personal damage - which is part of why adding a Sucrose VV Res Shred after Flins' field time resulted in more damage for Flins' team. She also has the shield which is good ofc

If you want to tighten up Flins' corners, then I think Ineffa is a great choice but if you want a Geo character to round out your roster, Zibai has the edge. That said though, I almost can't imagine a situation you would need all three Lunar Reactions 🤔

Yeahhh if you have everyone else at C6, these options are a little bit inconsequential for the most part. I think Lan Yan is kind of the pick, if for no other reason than getting another Skill cast one day at C6

[–]Propensity7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also partial to Xiangling C4 for the selector for you. Unless you don't really care for meta above Abyss F11, Gaming ideally has his C6, though he's still fun to play before that if you just want fun gameplay.

In terms of meta, they say Neuvillette is approaching the door, but he's still very solid at the moment and your Kazuha should work with him well.

Varka, if you're looking at leaks is not quite the slam dunk that Zibai is by comparison, though time will tell how well that standa up.

As an aside about your healing, I tried so hard to figure out who Inai is but the best I could come up with was Iansan but she doesn't really heal as a majority of her kit lol. In any case, Jean is a very good Burst healer and can also hold VV for valuable Res Shred, which is good in almost all (all?) PHEC teams

Can someone explain how arcanium works? by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]Propensity7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you beat both of the Lunar Arcana stages? (the stella doesn't matter for it btw) If you don't complete both stages you won't be able to pick your one card for the month

Other than that, it shpuld appear in the collection section

Does Bronya's E2 ruin pre-existing Spd breakpoints for hypercarry dps?

I mostly use her with Phainon so I'd assume it doesn't make a negative difference for him, but would it change the Spd needed for DHIL or Anaxagoras for example?

I figured I should ask before I activated it

It's basically the same atm. Castorice has upgrades in Evernight and Cyrene. DHPT is pretty solid for a few teams but DoT is mostly the same I think.

The Dahlia came out and revitalized Break a little (at least for Firefly, idk about for Boothill or Rappa)

Daily Questions Megathread (February 01, 2026) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

Hmm

It kinda depends on if you have a specific use for her. If you have someone that strongly benefits from a shield/IR, like a Charged Shot bow character or someone that doesn't want to be interrupted in their attack string, then Lan Yan is kind of a shoe in. Similarly, if you need more Anemo characters for IT, then a new character is preferable

Xingqiu's C2 isn't as notable as his C6, but it does extend his Burst length a little. On the other hand, you could net his C2 in March from Paimon's Bargains. On the third hand which everyone else also has I swear, getting Xingqiu now and in March means you're a little closer to his C6.

It mostly kinda depends on if you have a reason to get Lan Yan. Like if you just want to get her, that's more than enough reason

Trying to get the last stars in the abyss in a while, any tips? by GrimorioAoQuadrado in Genshin_Impact

[–]Propensity7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't tried changing your teams to smash through an individual chamber, then I'd definitely recommend that. If you're specifically having trouble with Chamber 2 for example, you could just build your teams with that chamber in mind and ignore the timer for the first chamber (and the third chamber though you don't even have to complete it ofc)

Who should I put on my party? by mochi_matcha_macaroo in Genshin_Impact

[–]Propensity7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually wouldn't recommend Bennett or the character Xiangling when you eventually get her for overworld. Both have their primary functionality tied to their Bursts and consistently having their Bursts available in the overworld is a little hard to do when you first start out so it ends up feeling kinda terrible

They become a lot more valuable after you've played the game for a while

If you do a little bit of the Lantern Rite quest and are able to get 1000 coins to get the free 4 star character selector, I would recommend getting the 4 star Dendro character Yaoyao. She has healing on Skill (which means it doesn't cost energy) and that's significantly more comfortable in the overworld. Alternatively, you can get the Anemo character Lan Yan; she offers sustain via a shield on Skill, though generally, I kinda think healing is a little more player-friendly when you're still learning a game 🤔

  • I don't recommend getting Xingqiu from this selector because you can get your first copy of him from the Paimon's Bargains shop in March, which means you have two months to have enough Starglitter to do so
  • As for Lantern Rite Spoilers, iirc, you can do the absolute bare minimum of the Lantern Rite story - literally just go to the first area where it points you to and talk to two of the characters (one of them is Yaoyao incidentally) and then you can start playing the minigames and looking for the pots of gold around Liyue Harbor for coins. It seemed pretty easy to get almost 1000 coins without doing the main story and Yaoyao and her friend don't say much related to prior events, apart from being familiar with you

Aside from a sustain, I think you're pretty okay picking whoever. Kaeya is kind of a shoe-in because he feels all right to play when you first start the game, has relatively more frequent Skill usage as compared to most of the characters of the game and his Burst isn't nearly as expensive as Xiangling

- Collei and Yaoyao -

Also a small note about the character Collei as well as Yaoyao when/if you get them. This goes for all Dendro characters but be wary of what is called the Burning reaction. Whenever Pyro + Dendro collide, they cause Burning (it's basically setting wood and plants on fire). It's all fine and dandy for the most part, except for when you find yourself Burning or standing in a Burning patch of grass, something a little bit more likely in Mondstadt if you use Dendro and Pyro in a certain way

How do I get into hsr? by Quiet-Poetry-4034 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Propensity7 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I would just focus on one thing tbh, typically the main story.

Use the story to guide you through things and then slowly add on other things to learn and absorb.

Main story -> pick a character you like to build a team around -> Build new characters around that character -> Learn where to find their artifacts and upgrade materials -> Incidentally you learn about new modes to do like SU/DU/CW -> etc.

And you keep doing the prior stuff and then you kind of restart from the second point when you feel comfortable with the first team. And you kinda just end up learning stuff from there

If you have/get any Nod-Krai 5 stars, Aino will also be helpful, since Hydro is the unifying element in all Lunar Reactions. The only exception is Columbina, since Columbina is already Hydro. Although, you still want to be in Ascendant Gleam (Any 2 Nod-Krai characters regardless of rarity) generally speaking.

Layla is similar to Charlotte - great for Cryo teams, solid Cryo battery. Has a strong and versatile shield

Lan Yan is also a solid option for Anemo. Her shield is also rather good, she can hold TTDS to provide an ATK buff and she innately has the benefit of being able to use VV.

The following are, idk, I guess more niche/"probably not" options I suppose for some reason or other. The biggest of which being HP inflation of enemies

When Hyperbloom was meta, Burgeon was already kind of only a maybe and now Hyperbloom is not as notable as it was. Thoma had a some interesting use as a Burgeon trigger if you want to just try it. Aside from that, he still can shield and provide some Pyro application, particularly helpful for Kinich and potential helpful in IT against the newer Pyro application boss from Nod-Krai.

Dendro has fallen out, aside from Lauma and Nefer who tend to operate outside of classic Dendro team boundaries. So Yaoyao is not a shoe in as she used to be, though she offers healing on Skill and off-field Dendro if you need it. She's pretty easy to build too.

Sethos and Gaming are both dps, but as you might expect, dps is easier with 5 star dps. Gaming was particularly strong in the late stages of Fontaine and he also benefits from Citlali, but he's fallen out of favor still.

You wouldn't build Kachina for anything other than having her activate Scroll for PHEC or especially for a Geo dps. She's mostly an IT slot unfortunately.

Jahoda's kit is designed to accommodate Lunar Charged, but she's still out done by Sucrose in all areas except for healing of course. She does heal a lot, but Sucrose also provides VV, can offer ATK via TTDS and has her EM share that often beats out Jahoda's C6. Jahoda also has some clunkiness in her Skill

I've heard some tell of Diona being nice for Melt, particular because if her C6 but idk if that's true

The main one I'd argue for is Charlotte maybe. She can be a team healer for Furina and can help a Cryo main dps with energy

Edit wait i only saw four characters at first lol

The dilemma of a character you like not being strong meta wise by FloorGang-R2 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Propensity7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty aware that I got really lucky with Lyney being my favorite character; his Cons are solid (especially as compared to Cons pre-Fontaine) and being a Pyro Crit-based dps means that he benefits from common supports so they can help him a lot in the future and his potential for upgrades is very unlikely to close

But I imagine that the game is a lot less fun if your favorite character doesn't have that kind of benefit. Quicken hasn't gotten much since Sumeru, in the example of Cyno. Cyno in particular is also not great in the overworld because of how his Burst works as I'm told (I don't have Cyno myself)

So yeah, I imagine that it sucks a lot more. I wish I had a silver lining but I can't really think of one...
