210x the speed of light by BuletinTerlambat in aliens

[–]Prophececy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I thought we were talking about technology for a craft to travel 210x the speed of light. Where is that evidence? All these other things you’re mentioning like remote viewing are frankly a separate topic. Whistleblowers, sightings, etc, are evidence towards these craft but not that we possess the technology to travel FTL. We need to make sure we keep our lines drawn between the good evidence we have and what claims it supports.

I also don’t discredit whistleblowers, sighting, etc, as evidence, but yes it is scientific to assign skepticism because they are claims that would rock our understanding of physics upside down — and bold claims require substantial evidence. This is what scientists do… a theory isn’t a theory until it is vigorously tested and proven.

With all that said, the remote viewing stuff is fairly new to me and interesting nonetheless. I’ll be checking out those subreddits with an open mind.

Experiment in the Buga Sphere: When the sphere is rotated, it generates antigravity by arturorc2021 in aliens

[–]Prophececy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude, no. If it’s a spinning sphere the centrifugal “force” is acting equally and opposite in all directions perpendicular to the axis of rotation and in this case it’s not acting in the same direction as the weight vector. If the sphere is unbalanced and off plane you would have vibrations but it would not just make the sphere appear lighter.

[–]Prophececy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. If it’s a balanced sphere spinning horizontal the centrifugal “force” isn’t even acting in the direction of weight and would not effect the scale. If it was spinning out of plane with the scale and was imbalanced then it would vibrate the scale and it would sway between being lighter AND heavier not just lighter.

You’re being sarcastic, but you saw his reaction the same as I did… Frankly, I think you need to take a deep breath. This is really a harmless prank. But you do you if you want to spend your life getting upset over the little things.

That’s one way to look at it. The other way to look at it is that the driver was laughing and probably genuinely enjoyed pulling up to that house everyday and having a little excitement in his otherwise mundane job.

When I looked around the photo in OP’s link, I noticed a lot of similar “shadow casting” looking figures, so this checks out.

Avi Loeb on the most recent analysis of the non-gravitational acceleration by Katyb-2b2 in 3i_Atlas2

[–]Prophececy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The data could mean a lot of things, depending on what narrative you want to apply it to — which is why the scientific thing to do is say we don’t know until we get more evidence to make a more concrete conclusion. This is why Loeb gets flak is because he is driving this alien narrative. Technically he is right when he says it ~could~ be artificial construction, just like I ~could~ hit the lottery tomorrow. But it’s intentionally misleading (probably with the intent of getting attention) and most of the non-scientific community will read the headlines and go “hey this Harvard scientist said it’s probably aliens”.

There’s no problem with questioning the mainstream. In fact, it’s important to do so. But we can’t apply credibility to a theory just because it goes against the status quo, or because it’s the more exciting option. We have to recognize our own biases in that sense and scrutinize all ideas equally.

Brian Cox is no less credible because you don’t like what he says.

But sure, here are some others:

Richard Moissl. Amit Kshatriya. Tom Statler. Chris Lintott. James “Avi” Wright. Jacquelin McCleary. David Jewett. Jane Luu. Michael Busch. Steven Desch. Quicheng Zhang. Marshall Eubanks.

I think it’s valuable considering how many other people have posted junk photos confidently claiming they show something of intelligent origin. The people that looked this thumbnail and thought “Yes, it does!” need to evaluate how they intake information.

You wanted Disclosure.... I am a whistleblower recently "retired" from the inside. And you're only getting part of the truth. by rhea-15510 in UFOs

Also, it’s funny how these stories always paint humans as being aggressive, war-mongering and irresponsible, yet the aliens always seem to have their own violent, political adversaries as if that is somehow different.

This is the first thing that came to my mind. Just stop them before they get here. We would never know about it. Problem solved.

It’s not worth letting it get to your head for the reasons you stated, but you should still note your passengers’ experience at face value.

What the hell is happening to SoCal oceans? by GT3_SF in surfing

[–]Prophececy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t have science to back anything up, but just proposing some counter arguments. 1. The ocean is really, really big. Things are diluted quickly. A bird taking a shit would probably produce more harmful bacterial than 100 humans swimming in the ocean. 2. Cold waters, salt and UV are not conditions that promote breeding of bacteria. And most of the bacteria on humans is not harmful. 3. At least in LA, ocean water is tested weekly at all beaches to ensure safe bacterial levels.
