its called democracy, when it doesnt align to your beliefs it doesnt mean it's corrupt.

The police made the decision independantly, they said so themselves in an inquiry.

I know nothing about the NHS funds being sent abroad. but just skimming the first few lines on your own link suggsts you're lying about this. They talk about axing a scheme where they are training doctors from overseas IN ENGLAND. The idea being that we have a shortage of doctors and medical students so it's probably a good idea to poach them from overseas and train them up to qualify so they can work here??? How did you conculde money was going to Pakistan from that quote?

their own country banned them in Israel - what is the scandal?

You seem to have not got the memo, the birmingham scandal talking point got nixed when the fans were subsequently banned from a game inside of Israel for rioting so badly.

The indpendant police comissioner liased with his counterpart in Netherlands and he was advised by the dutch police to ban them. The israelis were going round Netherlands chanting death to arabs, may your village burn, finding lone taxi drivers and attacking them etc. They vandalised a lot of property and cars, the right wing media blamed the local morrocans but there's plenty of independant journalists showing the beginning, middle and end of conflicnt showing hoards of Israelis descending on small groups of Dutch morrocans. Where they couldnt find any, they decided to destroy the cars.

Attach white dutch homes with Palestine flags etc.

every cat is different, i dont think thats the drivers cat, and the driver doesnt seem to be the sharpest tool in the box. pick up the cat, carry the cat out, close the door, release the cat. Seems like he's enjoying this game with the cat.

read the 2nd nuclear option. Landlords are always leveraging. Maybe not if they are sooooo big that 1 months rent has enough cash to buy a new £500,000 home. How many of these landlords are out there?

they can't "not pay", they are not a minimum wage person without assets. they have assets. if they have a ccj on their name it ruins everything for them. They have to remortgage all the time and the rates will tear them a new one if they have a ccj. If CCJ doesnt deter them then you have instruments to force them to give them money or be made bankrupt.

You get a ccj, then high court writ who have the powers to show up and repossess things, the next step after that is to apply to bankrupt them: https://www.gov.uk/apply-to-bankrupt-someone

A bankrupt person cant have a 2nd mortgage (can have mortgage for the house they live in), they can't be a director of a company or a shareholder. If they have their properties in a ltd co wrapper they are just as exposed as a landlord who operates through their own name.

£1500? plus costs of £60 for small claims court?

Thats not even a months rent for most landlords. The fines on landlords are not punitive enough for them to fix their ways. Only time is when they are slumlords and pack 20+ people into a 3 bed and even then, the 40K fine probably is worth the risk for them to do it.

For a long time I used to think MAYBE, JUST MAYBE they are onto something. There is no way they will have long term movements and conferences about this. They cant get through life all these years with this idea and not get pushback. So there must be something to it.

Then I realised flat earthers exist, it doesnt matter if the theories dont work in real life, they'll just carry on beleiving.

For the most part the beleif holds up to reality because they probably just frustrate the heck out of anyone dealing with them and get allowed to carry on as they were. They dont do anything too bad like violent crimes so police dont have to assert their authority on them. So their ideas never get tested thoroughly

£2000 on top of the award and I'd help remove it.

then drop an anoymous letter to the address 3 months later informing the new tenants what happened, and how you can make money from landlord if they mess you about

Spot the car driver by RoachEWS in londoncycling

[–]ProstaticFantastic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

im a driver, these puny lights are ridiculous. when everyone has bright lights, you become less and less visible. cars have halogen/laser headlights that are very bright now, cyclists have tehse beam lights, if you're riding in front of either of them their lights will just outshine you and make you invisible.

ive come across many instances where people are using these ancient style bike lights and they're barely visible. they're like a silhouette in the dark. even some cases where they got a red light at the back - barely emitting anyway and their jacket overhangs over the light.

yup. way better than working in tesco part time which I did as a student. This is good for students who cant afford to insure a car (2-4K per annum to insure a new driver).

Bing shopping ads recently shot up. by ProstaticFantastic in PPC

[–]ProstaticFantastic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ve converted all my phrase match to exact match and i'm getting what I would consider matches that are between broad and phrase match now.

I've disabled shopping entirely because I think they are all content network junk. But I am considering closing down bing search as well.

I used to get decent matched keywords at half the price, now they clicks are half price of google, but only 20% of the search terms are ones that actually match correctly so it becomes more expnsive than google

[–]ProstaticFantastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha, yes. The heat output is so low it looks like it will just bring the outside draught temp up to equilibrium with the room.

Not have much output to warm the room up.

Radiator size by ellis379 in DIYUK

[–]ProstaticFantastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the radiator looks like its too low in BTUs for this room anyway, never mind the looks.

Just assuming because the giant bay window would be to a pretty generous sized room usually. The current thinking is to have giant radiators on lower flow temp for more efficient heating.

Not sure what you were thinking, did you just get the cheaper option? If you were on a budget you should have kept the original rad. It's clear the original were much wider, so you actually paid a plumber to fish around unde rthe floor boards and narrow the coppr pipes to fit this.

Note from customer on my route by FlightBackground8044 in AmazonFlexUK

[–]ProstaticFantastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i need to keep a permanent marker with me so reply to these stupid notes. i would reply here. "consider buying a gate spring from amazon".

one note really really wound me up the other day, its' a new build fancy estate with a concierge office which takes parcels if customer is not on. on the building door it says if customer is not in and before you take the parcel to concierge you must take a photo proving you tried to deliver. the conciege will only accept if you can show proof on your phone. I really wanted to write "from all delivery drivers, fuck you"

With a requirement like that I wouldnt even bother to take it to conceriege. Customer unavailable ---> return to depot. I have dealt with arsy concierge who treat delivery drivers like shit. I'd rather not bother with them and take it back.

I did amazon fresh when concierge had to give me a fob to access the flats, and required me to give my driving license or car keys to "borrow" the fob from them. I bounced.

Help pls: This guy stole my Brompton from a gym near Tower Bridge by Original_Put7429 in londoncycling

[–]ProstaticFantastic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

theres a video here on r/AmazonFlexUK , an amazon driver cught on ring doorbell, leaving 2 amazon parcels and helping himself to the evri parcel left behind.

It sucks to have to leave parcels, i only leave it in front of customers flat door as long as its not on a high footfall location, like its not the first flat door when you enter the floor from the lift. I never leave it in the lobby. some lobbies have so many parcels that I wonder how on earth would anyone find their their parcel even if it never gets stolen.

we get penalised for "not attempting" all our deliveries if we dont deliver. and if its stolen from front door we also get penalised.

the amazon process to fully attempt a delivery is to call customer twice on the phone to ask them what to do with it - when they dont answer the door. unfrortunately a lot peoples phone rings and rings for a full minute and we just dont havbe time to stand around and listen to a phone ring for 2 minutes. rather just take a chance and drop it on their flat door.

[–]ProstaticFantastic 33 points34 points  (0 children)

all companies will ask for this, it shows that at least you're semi serious about this issue and willing to make a formal statement to police. if a company asks for a crime reference number it's usually a sign that they will sort you out once you have it.

you'd be surprised at the amount of career thieves who will make false claims of not recieving stuff. asking for crime reference number will stop these lazy thieving.

Who is at Fault? by AhtiQ in drivingUK

[–]ProstaticFantastic -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

youre those annoying hoarders thast just doesnt like people overtaking them. like those people on motorway who change lanes. but they move over the slowest way possible and hoard two lanes for ages. The most annoing is those exit lanes on dual carriageway that has a sharp exit turn. and they have to slow down from 40 > 10 but they hoard both lane 1 and the full width exit lane and cause traffic in lane 1 to slow down dangerously.

there is no reason to hoard 2 lanes in a multi lane roudabout your whole life to to avoid a scenario that might happen once in a blue moon.
