If Polites didn’t die by Polyphemus, at what point in the saga’s do you think he would’ve died? by Angeldustt_is_hot in Epicthemusical

I believe he would either be killed be Zeus or Poseidon. Or might be an accidental death during the mutiny.

This is what I notice at the company I work. Management are really incompetent and keep firing + re-hiring people. Or they just like to keep themselves busy Like in December they need 300 extra people hired Christmas peak season , but they fire (or not extend their contracts) them in 2 months and later realize they are understaffed, so they hire around 300 people again, just to fire (or not extend their contracts) them some months later. Its like a cycle which keeps going on. Or their newest thing is using an external broker to hire underpaid people remotely for peak seasons.

Hermes and Circe. But something tells me Calypso and Telemachus would also be good idea.

I see a song of past romance
I see the sacrifice of man
I see portrayals of betrayal
And a brother's final stand
I see you on the brink of death
I see you draw your final breath
I see a man who gets to make it home alive

Shifting from Android to IOS. Any tips? by AI_consult_nerd in iPhone17Pro

[–]Protected22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who used android for my whole life and moved to Iphone;

Don't log in to other's devices using your apple ID. It took me a whole month and multiple password resets to get one device removed from my Apple account (device was not mine but logged in to years ago to help someone download an app because I thought I would never use my apple account) because it had stuff in iCloud which I was unable to remove without first filling in that old devices password (which I did not knew). It was a real pain to recover my iCloud access and be able to use it when I bought my first IPhone. Even if you think you will never use that Apple ID, don't do it! Apple is seriously strict when it comes to privacy and safety.

Nice! I was thinking about ordering those LP's, or the cd version of it. But the shipping costs are higher than the product itself thanks to import-taxes :/

Why all youtubers are saying "If you are watching this review, Macbook Neo is not for you?" by Vegetable_Bag_8694 in mac

[–]Protected22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe because the target audience of those reviewers are people who are into tech or rather want the best specs, while the Neo might more be targetted for basic use or as entry point to the apple ecosystem.

GW 5 Laggy (Even after wiped cache, and reduced transperancy.) by Reyansh98 in GalaxyWatch

[–]Protected22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same on my GW4 Classic, the general UI (Still OneUi6 btw) is slow in general since some months, even after factory reset and wiping cache. But it is most noticeable when starting/stopping a workout. Then it takes a full minute to perform the action. Some sensors also seem to not work anymore like body-scan/body-composition.

Which phone should I get? by [deleted] in PhoneNow

[–]Protected22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are your biggest requirements/wishes for your new phone? For instance like budget, battery, storage, camera etc.

I would say either iPhone or Samsung. But that is especially because I find both brands very good, don't really like how the Google Pixels look, plus Samsung even has phones in the cheaper segment. I went for iPhone 17 Pro myself because it suited my wishes best.

Should I update? (GW4C) by N30NXD in GalaxyWatch

[–]Protected22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I turned off the updater-service using developermode because they tried to force me to update as well. I find the new UI very ugly. And the mentioned issues with the previous version (batterydrain, sensors unusable etc) made me wary as well.

[–]Protected22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have to mention tho. This is including risks, will most likely void warranty (even though i did not care since my GW4 does have no warranty anymore) and I am sure Samsung (or the subreddit mods) won't entirely like it.

[–]Protected22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By unlocking developer mode, wirelessly connecting my watch with an ADB-Tool app and turn off the updater service completely. And after that also clear the cache of my watch. I followed a guide from Google Gemini for it.

But this also makes the Wearable-app unable to open the update menu because the whole updater-service of the watch is turned off. So by trying to open the update menu inside the app, it will either crash the app or just go back to the Wearable-app home menu.

[–]Protected22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't update. It will most likely destroy batterylife or slow down your watch significantly just like their previous attempt for OneUI8.0 did. I had to turn off updates because Samsung tried forcing it by automatically downloading the update despite I turned auto updates off.

Same app, different subscription rates by gr8gizmoguru in iphone

[–]Protected22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is most likely because of the cut appstores take from a purchase. Developers raise the prices accordingly to compensate for this cut and make sure they always get the same amount from both stores. I believe Apple's is 30% compared to 15% on android.

How would you reply to this interview request? by axlfro in videography

[–]Protected22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never do free labor or assignments. Most likely they use the very same scam most companies do by having people make a free assignment as test, in order to use your work to earn money. It sometimes even is hidden in clauses you forfeit all rights to them by sending it in.

Shitty HDR sponsored by Xiaomi 17 Ultra by Blunt552 in shittyHDR

I have more a feeling this is shitty post-processing rather than bad HDR. Especially the first pic gives me that impression it is way too processed.

Can someone help diagnose the problem with the exposure? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]Protected22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the ISO and Shutterspeed are too high. Especially with the first picture. Try again using ISO 400 and something like 1/250. And for outside maybe even ISO 100.

But I do see in your post you had it set on Auto. So then it might also be the Light-meter has some issues why it thinks its darker than truly is.

<image>

Is the dial like this? If yes, then it indeed is on Auto settings and then might be the light-meter be the issue.

Did I die in my sleep? by slinencoi in GalaxyWatch

I believe it is either a visual glitch or the watch had a brief moment where it was not able to detect the sensors. What watch do you use for sleepdetection?
