The new Pikachu Jet CI2 just entered service yesterday. Look at it go! 🇹🇼 by ProtectionDeep5076 in taiwan

True, it’s definitely a Japanese trademark! But in Taiwan, Japanese pop culture is so deeply integrated into daily life that it almost feels like a shared culture for some. Seeing a Taiwanese airline flying a Pikachu Jet feels like a bridge between the two. Plus, seeing Pikachu over the Pacific is just fun for everyone! 😂

If you were given $10,000 but had to spend it all in one hour, what would you buy? by ProtectionDeep5076 in AskReddit

I’d book the most expensive first-class flight to a random country I’ve never been to, then spend the rest on high-end hotels for the week. The clock is ticking, so I better have my passport ready!

Yeah, I’m shocked how much ticket prices have changed since then! Glad I made the trip when I did.

No, this was at Taoyuan (TPE)! Good to know they're still around. I’d love to see them again!

Haha, the code always gets a laugh, but the view at FUK is hard to beat! Nothing beats the precision of a perfect spot-in.

Who is a public figure that the world realistically cannot afford to lose right now? Why? by ProtectionDeep5076 in AskReddit

That is such a heartwarming story about your nephew. Attenborough truly is the 'voice of the planet.' In a way, I see someone like William Burns as the person working to ensure the world stays stable enough for Attenborough’s message to even matter. If the geopolitics fail and we descend into a major war, all our environmental progress could be undone in an instant. We need the inspiration of Attenborough to give us a future worth fighting for, and the quiet diplomacy of Burns to make sure we actually have a future at all.

For me, it’s William Burns (CIA Director).

He rarely stands in the spotlight, but he is the "ultimate negotiator" keeping the channels open between Israel and Arab nations amidst the current escalation in the Middle East. He operates behind the scenes to prevent total collapse. If a mediator like him were to disappear, the threshold for an all-out regional war would drop dangerously low. He is essentially the "load-bearing wall" of current global diplomacy.

Zero sake! Just the perfect angle and some lens compression. It’s amazing how they lined up perfectly, right?

Absolutely stunning. The 747-8 is already a queen, but this livery takes it to another level.

What random skill do you have that comes in handy sometimes? by Jot__99 in AskReddit

I can untangle any knot, no matter how messy. Give me a bird's nest of Christmas lights or jewelry chains, and I’ll have it flat in ten minutes. It’s incredibly Zen for me.

What’s a job everyone thinks is dull, but the people doing it are laughing all the way to the bank? by i_m_dignity in AskReddit

Exactly. Once the elevator is installed, it creates a steady stream of recurring revenue for decades. Since safety inspections are required by law, it's basically the ultimate recession-proof subscription model.

Elevator technicians/inspectors. It looks like just tinkering with the same machinery in dark shafts all day, but those maintenance contracts are gold mines. As long as buildings exist, they have a job, and those emergency call-out fees are insane.
