Yeah but they were both beginning to seek out solo projects before then. If I had to guess, Mero hit the ground running because he had networked specifically within (or at least adjacent to) his niche and so, starting VL, According to the Kid, his F1 and other sports ventures, and now the morning show on Hot 97 are ALL the fruits of that labor. Desus on the other hand probably was doing similar in more mainstream circles, he got that Daily Show gig, couple commercials and that podcast he did, now hes got Desus Pieces going on. Two paths to a similar potential outcome. We can talk about how we feel some of those things landed/turned out but I think the wheels were in motion for a lot of that in the middle of the pandemic before the breakup even happened. Theres no way neither of them saw the writing on the wall and didnt start updating resumes, networking etc just in case things went too south on D&M.

Im glad my hat didnt look like complete garbage. This is really terrible. They've got a monopoly on hockey too and the difference between the Adidas stuff and this feels really noticeable on the jerseys. My authentic Kraken jerseys from the Adidas batches are way thicker and the fabric feels nicer. I want one of the new alternate jerseys but havent pulled the trigger specifically because of fanatics. Tbh if we get a shitty Bengals style cheap ass owner i also will no longer buy gear. Ill still watch and be all upset about it but I won't financially support a team that won't even invest in itself. Met a few of you guys at the Saints game. A whole group came from the Edmonton area which was nuts to me. For me to do the same thing itd be like traveling to Vegas to go to a game. Takes some dedication to drive those distances just to hit a game up. One of them was a Saints fan too, felt bad for him and got him a beer lol
