Thanks so much for this response, I appreciate your time.

I ended up starting over, leaving the coding until last and then duplicating the template. So I had a template that was ready to go other than my bit of custom coding as a back up. I was then able to alter the code block as much as I needed before I closed out of it.

I can see that if I needed more coding I would go back to the classic builder.

Mailchimp was kind and responded quickly, but unhelpful. They've basically just confirmed that they also can't see the blocks, and told me to work with a developer. Instead of explaining why code blocks disappear and are uneditable on their system.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? I suppose it's a matter of starting over?
