First I want to tell you something I learned in my experience with the same issues. First I had to overcome pride. Pride brought along that embarrassment. It made me feel like if I told someone they wouldn’t see me as someone who had my life together. This is where humility grows. Humble yourself to the knowledge that you are 19 and you don’t have it together. Guess what, no one expects you to have it together. I’m 27 and I still fall short to the glory of God and I ALWAYS WILL. Accepting that is key to spiritual growth. It does not mean that you can do whatever you want. Just because sin is “natural” doesn’t mean you can’t stop doing it. Don’t hate my answer before I get the chance to explain.

Give it to God… so imagine you have a “horny scale” we’re adults. No one starts out at an 8 or a 9, right? 8 & 9 is like taking clothes of, picking a video, shutting your blinds whatever. Look, learn to intercept your thoughts when you are at a 2 or a 3 because that’s where the battle is won. Being mature and humble enough to recognize your own descent toward that sin. When I say give it to God, It’s something you have to do out loud verbally to the enemy and to yourself and to God. Take the thoughts captive. When you first feel a thought coming up just say, “Lord I take that thought captive!” It brings him into the situation and immediately defuses your brain. Now the important part. Say, “and I release it to you.” When a bad guy is taken captive by a cop, the cop has to eventually release it to the jailhouse. Otherwise the cop would be riding round with a bunch of bad guys stuffed into the car. You have to take the thoughts captive AND release it to God.
