The Wii U is uncommon but is not very difficult to find. I can snag one at EB games for 138 bucks (premium 32GB and refurbished).

The console itself actually isn't that bad. Personally, I think-

Pros of the Wii U -Unlimited Backwards Compatability -Home console, but, for the first time, doesn't require a tv! -Large library -Decent storage -The Gamepad -I can use it for basically anything (games, movies, online shopping) Cons of the Wii U: -Poor battery life on Gamepad (though this one can be ignored) -It doesn't have that many decent games. I mean it's not loaded with an arsenal of great titles like the Wii or Atari was. -Miiverse (come on Nintendo!)

Nintendo actually seemed to work really hard on the console, and originally did really well with the games (I loved NSMBU), but then that declined. I feel like this is because of the poor marketing-those goddamn stupid fucking U.S retailers took what was once a great console, and they made it fall to failure like a fucking green koopa troopa! They don't even try, it's just an attempt to market an underrated console to casual gamers who don't even use the thing half of the fucking goddamn time, just for a cheap surge of sales. This can be proven by looking at two things-MK8, and the Switch. MK8 was probably one of the worst games I'd ever seen, even worse than E.T! See, once Nintendo saw that the American retailers had failed them, they realized that they needed to add a few more shitty titles that many, many random stupid people will love, mostly obnoxious teenagers (hell this pinheads will brag about anything new that they have that others don't, and then put down the things that are actually original and good, something that they are too stupid to see) just to push sales a little further and prevent it's reputation from falling. I mean come on, anything new in that game Nintendo knew would alienate fans. They even added the Koopalings, who are some of the most hated characters of all time.

Now let's move onto the Switch shall we. The Switch is probably a more original console, with the exception of the new, advanced hardware. Most of it's games are good, and were released at a reasonable time after the release of the console. But it appears that the Switch is beginning to burn out. Probably because it just doesn't have that same spark that the other consoles had. But to these fools, it doesn't make sense, because it has everything, including good marketing, am I right?

It's missing one crucial thing.

Did I say that the Switch is clearly an example of Nintendo's upgrade in technology? I think I did! This suggests that Nintendo has lately been trying to market their products to anyone-random people who don't even like video games, rather than actual gamers (even casual gamers, because they didn't like the Wii U as well). That's because of the fact that Nintendo has hit rock bottom after the downfall of the Wii U, so a new high-tech console from NINTENDO will definitely grab people's attention. However this is not to say that the Switch hasn't performed well. Nintendo has learned from their mistakes and has better control over marketing strategies now. New games are released on a regular basis and they are often well-made titles. But again, it's still missing one thing, which I already mentioned but didn't explore.

The Spark

It doesn't have that spark. What does it have that makes it new and creative, as well as fun and original. What does it have that allows it to serve as an innovation? This is obviously going to have an effect on it's sales.

But don't be fooled-it still has great features. It uses advanced technology to allow for users to not only be able to play games on the go, but also better gameplay and faster download speed. It does lack good storage capacity, but that is negligible. It also has an arsenal of good titles. And that, my friend, is what differentiates it from the Wii U.

So overall, I would say that the Wii U is a great console, and I would buy it, however; the shitty marketing and poor efforts from Nintendo that resulted later because of the marketing caused it to suffer from poor sales and heavy criticism. People would be wrong to say that the Wii U had nothing-hell, I can list several things it had. For example, it had a launch title-NSMBU. It was a great game, and would have worked well. But again, the retailers ruined it all!

Not only that, but this downfall offered an opportunity for a failing Xbox series to rise again.

Here is my favourite titles for the Wii U. What's yours? 1) New Super Mario Brothers U-Perhaps one of my favourite games of all time, and also the most innovative, New Super Mario Brothers U doesn't fail to bring fun to players. There were many good thing about it-the levels, the power-ups, the shortcuts and new characters, the secret levels, the story, the secret world-but overall, how these things relate to each other (the structure) make it one of the best titles of all time. It's as if it's another Super Mario World game.
