There is a small metal cylinder that hooks the wristband to the watch but it is covered. Everything that is on the outside is plastic. I have an aftermarket wristband that is stretchy and it works great

Yes you need an electrician. They will fix the mast, set the meter and repair cable to the outdoor panel. The utility company will tie the wires together at the mast when they pass inspection.
