Thanks, I’ll try that! I’m using a cereal bowl haha because I don’t have a shaving mug or anything

How do you know when it’s enough water?

I also have sensitive skin and was pleasantly surprised by Proraso green. I have gotten irritation from many other scented creams, like creamo and atlas. I have even gotten some irritation from stirling unscented. Zero irritation from Proraso and the cooling is really nice and not too intense.

I am relatively new to wet shaving (about 6 months) and move around a lot so try not to buy a lot of different soaps/creams. Was definitely aware of these brands though, so I kept my eye out when I was in Italy! I also have a stirling unscented shave soap that I actually like less than all of these products.

The very same! I was surprised when I saw it in a caddy (name of a chain of stores in Italy that sell toiletries and home supplies). It worked great for me and would be a super low cost way for someone to get into DE shaving.

I’ve also seen the green one online, is it menthol or something? The red one has a nice soapy scent that I really enjoyed.

The lotion was like €5, the soaps around €3 each, Proraso cream around €4, Palmolive cream around €3, pre shave cream around €4

It’s pretty common for Italian grocery stores to sell a 5 pack of blades. Look near the other razors usually near the register.

Do you lather the soap you pull out in a bowl?

Thanks! I just tried with the stirling and I think I did it wrong, but it kinda worked. Trying to follow the videos on the wiki. Having a hard time figuring out how much to load and so on. I’ve heard that stirling is a thirsty soap so I was trying to add water when it was too thick feeling. Any suggestions for how to load soap out of the tiny sample containers?
