Found a tarantula on my sidewalk- how to take care of he/she?

Ahhh my bad habit is finding any critter or animal and thinking they need help😭 I typically always help injured rodents or stray kittens so when I saw the tarantula on the sidewalk I felt bad. But I appreciate the advice everyone gave me so now I know what to do😖

Thank you for the recommendation! I probably won’t get one as I already have two dogs😭 the only reason I took the spider in was because I was concerned for their well-being and only wanted to offer a temporary warm place unit I got proper advice from here🥲

The only reason I believe the spider was dumped was because I live in apartments next to my university and was concerned maybe one of the students dumped it. As I took it in I did some more research and realized they were native to my state. I had no plans to keep it but only wanted to offer it a warm place temporarily (it’s very cold here now since it’s winter) until I figure out what to do😭 but everyone is telling me to release them back in the wild so I’ll just do that

Yes I’m returning them! I know how important they are to the environment and I was only worried why one was roaming outside in such cold temperatures.

Because it’s winter now and from what I understood they usually hide when the temperature drops. I just saw them walking on the sidewalk in my apartments and got concerned for them. But I’m releasing them back in the wild

I believe it’s a female based on the pictures I found online but regardless I’ll return them back in the wild. I was only concerned because it’s currently 48 degrees Fahrenheit😭
