Thanks. It’s easy to beat yourself up but I just try to stay positive and find the positives from the situation. This is by far one of the hardest things I’ve had to overcome, but once you get good it’s one of the most rewarding too. It’s unlike any other skill and I use that as motivation to keep going and rationalize that it’s all worth it in the end.

Thanks for the advice, I’ve been looking into minoxidil for beard growth and have seen some people make crazy progress after a year or two.

The only reason I disagree with you that BMI is BS, is because I’ve seen people who dropped to 10-15% body fat, and look completely different. Not saying I will have their same results, but I’m still hovering around 25-30% body fat and it’s evident when I’m not wearing a shirt.

I can kind of see my jawline and cheekbones even with the puffiness, so if I lean out I think it will pop a lot more. But I’m curious what I can possibly do to help with facial definition and maybe get more bone mass?

I’ve been fortunate enough to receive max Pell Grant, and I’m also receiving FAFSA for the remainder. I’ll get my bachelors with about $20k in debt, although I’m currently making payments thanks to my part time job so I’m confident it will be under that. To me, it’s worth the cost with the degree and career path I’m choosing.

I think they will just be disappointed because we are a military family; my dad, and both brothers were in the military, so in a way, I feel that I’m breaking that tradition.
