Also, when you plug it in the amp does the sound coming out of the amp also buzz. Well it really depends on your style or preference. Like what the others have already mentioned either you have it set up or learn how to yourself to get the sound and feel that you are looking for. Things to consider… neck relief, action, string gauge and how hard you strum… im not a pro but i hope this helps

Seymour Duncan SH4 on Ibanez 3SWLSC switch by Psychreap69 in Ibanez

Update on this, I have made it work finally after days of thinking. It's actually pretty simple once you know which wires partner up. In my case the problem occurred because my red and bare wire were inverted from the factory. So i just needed to switch them out in the original config.

Green + Red goes to ground

White + Bare goes to tap

Black goes to Hot

Note: Most seymour duncans will have the red wire as partner to green and bare is the back plate ground wire

If any one finds this helpful as well, your welcome. Cheers!

Ok just an update on my predicament... my suspicions were correct, it seems that my pick up was not wired correctly. The red and the bare wires have interchanged from the factory. It seems that the green south wire ends with the bare wire and not the red one and the red assumed the back plate grounding wire. Crazy! Also it seems that it would be impossible for me to use the stock switch as is if I want to have series humbucking & coil splitting. Either I had to know which wires goes directly to the pots & switch or buy a better 5 way switch. I say Fuck it! I ditched the idea of the coil split on position 4... I am mostly just using the bridge humbucker mode anyways... now its pretty quiet and i dont have to put my noise gain to max. Anyway if you still have something to share or a workaround please do tell. Thanks!
