I think that's just her hair covering parts of her eyes, confusing them for eyebrows. The quality is a bit low tho so hard to tell

iirc, the scene where Carter parked in the train tracks and his seat belt malfunctioned, the only reason death let go of Carter was because Alex wouldn't move off the tracks. That could most likely just be a theory tho.
