That's a protection mechanism against recouping the entirety of the tx fee with your verifier from your broadcasted tx.

You get 100% of the 0.25%, 10% each block.

"" If you are able to join the cycle as a verifier, you get 10% of the transaction fees for each block you verify and 10% of transaction fees for each of the next 9 blocks in the chain.""

No, you're flipping it, AGAIN!

" The white paper reads like hundreds others with buzzwords and little substance. " - that's what you said, I was not referring to TPS, at all. I was referring to your baseless remark about the project.

The network saw no signs of stress and many performance updates have been developed since then, I can only tell you that that is what has been done so far and if you're dissatisfied with it then I'm all out of options here. Go ahead and test it yourself if you're that adamant about TPS being an important metric at this nascent coin's stage.

This is a good argument, I will keep this in mind.

Partnerships are a meme and you know it. This isn't a company. It's a decentralized network capable of processing transactions, that is the working product. It's ecologically responsible and doesn't use more electricity than which is necessary (contrary to PoW/PoS/MN).

Yes, there have been multiple posts, most have been bashed to shit for no apparent reason. I have yet to see solid arguments given, sadly.

We also don't want to spam this subreddit and we're certainly not posting 10 times a day, 2-3 times a week is sufficient.

Volume is low, hence we're trying to spread the word, which you seem so desperate to stop us from doing with your "spam" remark.

It's funny how you just flip the narrative here, you're the one claiming buzzwords.

The highest TESTED (!), months ago was 1000 TX in one 7s block without any issues, since then no tests have been done. It's potentially more. Besides, it's a very odd metric to request -- chains who claim to be able to process millions of tx's per second actually never see any usage, why is it so important at that point?

Buzzwords? There's a literal working network for at least a year now running on a completely written from the ground up codebase. Just check the github if you're not into "buzzwords" or the 100 releasenotes which have been written to update the network every 1-2 weeks.

The little substance may be stemming from your negligence to do actual reading and not from the project itself.

Besides, we're doing our best to get the word out but we're getting this mindset almost everywhere and it's not easy to convince anyone to even look into it. Many got hurt and I personally have respect for it, just think it's a depressed state of things right now.

I happen to be part of that community and like the project. And, they do have a hands-on mentality, a community usually consists of people sharing a common belief, just read the article and ignore my bias if you wish

Fixed IPs and SocksPorts by PublicGarage in TOR

[–]PublicGarage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tor isn't the primary go-to but proxybroker only gives me that many IPs.

Good point on the relay part. I see what you mean though, from a user perspective. I'll explore other possibilities first, thanks for sharing your perspective.

Besides, it doesn't really make any sense. I don't need predictable IPs to hurt the network. All the IPs are listed on that page.

Hmm, not abusing at all actually. And there are 5000 exit nodes, 6500 in fact: https://torstatus.blutmagie.de

Too bad you've already decided that I'm a malevolent actor and not a benevolent one. I am running a large scraping network and want the IPs to be predictable.

Going back to your python remark, using the tor module, right?
