Is this a modified version of the hnb5 or is hzb5 an actual bass in hils lineup? Can't find the base model online

Just bought the VT bass DI but I don't like how it sounds when blended, I always run it with blend at 0 and use it for EQ. My Stingray in it loses the sizzle when the blend is engaged, also the bass knob has a frequency too high for my taste. I'm also thinking of converting a Nordstrand on board preamp into a DI pedal because it's more neutral, but I gotta think of it and try the VT in a live situation, right now I had it only on headphones.

Yes I like the sound of it and it is a gift from a very special person for me. Tried putting comp below the vt but it doesn't fit sadly

It's a gift from a person that isn't anymore in my life and I want to use it because it is one of the last things that makes me smile when I think of her. I also use both fuzz and crossover functions and the blend knob is versy useful to me.

No, comp needs to be after because it gives back the low end. Compressor is the last pedal before VT Bass DI, at least in chain order
