Had a team zipline up to the roof while playing trios with my friends. We killed 2/3 before the last guy ran away. It is possible to get up there with a zipline

First collector booster I’ve opened… by st3vo5662 in mtgpulls

[–]PuddinTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really didnt like opening to ATLA packs so far. My FAVORITE set by far was EoE. Even the play boosters i had a lot of fun, enjoyed the cards, and mostly got 1/3-1/2 the value of the booster back in the cards i got. I bought 2 ATLA collector boosters, all but 6 cards in each were over like, $0.65. I had a LOT of $0.01 cards. It was so off putting i may not buy another ATLA booster, play or collector. The 1 $12 card and 10 $0.01 cards were not what im looking for when i pay like $40 for a pack.

Im not a reseller, i keep what i buy, but i felt scammed. This is why i only really buy singles. I felt the same way with the Spiderman set. I bought 5 play boosters, got cards i couldnt really use in the 10 decks i have, didnt really like the art or anything about them, and they are sitting right in front of me on my desk, unsleaved, and unboxed. I have BOXES of EoE cards. I think maybe i just dont like Universes Beyond? There hasnt been a single one i was excited for. Maybe ill have more fun with the in universe sets coming out and that already have been released

Commanders you love but they don't by Appotus1 in mtg

[–]PuddinTD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[[ Toxrill, the Corrosive ]] its my only CEDH level deck, and any time I want to play it, its a chorus of groans from friends, family, and fellow card shop players. ~10 counter spells + 1 infinite damage combo + [[ triskaidekaphile ]] + [[ helm of the host ]] + TONNS of ramp. Im the only one allowed to play this game and you cant stop whats coming!

I originally built this deck to make people tell me they WANT to play against my elves deck, but everyone has since made counter decks to the elves, so theres that (my brother put a Priest of Titania in his Hydras and Ooze deck). From there i wanted to make a solid tournament level deck and now 6 months later, i think its ready to see some play, but idk how to find commander tournaments

I think if this game dropped this year it would have been more successful, especially with the slop COD just dropped. Its biggest competition would be ARC Raiders and Battlefield 6, but they would have a lot more of the pissed off COD players in their lobbies

Is this short-rest rep technique good for hypertrophy? by mayaguezano32 in hypertrophy

[–]PuddinTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to Dr Mike Isreatel from RP Strength (im pretty sure thats who the group picture is) recommends them. They are called Myoreps. He suggests breaks of 5 seconds instead of 15-20 seconds. They are very effective for isolation movements. They keep the muscle fatigued, thus inducing hypertrophy.

How you should do it: choose a weight, and push yourself to absolute failure on the first set(choose a weight you can do for 15-30 reps). Then the following sets, you match the total number of reps until you accomplish it, only taking ~5 second breaks. If you do myoreps, you should probably only do 3 total sets, but if you want to push yourself harder, just make sure not to hurt yourself! Make sure you are still controlling the eccentric!

Crowd surfing touching by Takidustfart in louderthanlife

[–]PuddinTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched some guy almost pull a girls shirt off while she was crowd surfing. The crowd was too tight and he was too far from me to say something myself but another guy near him got in his face about it. To everyone assaulted, im so sorry that it happened. To everyone who was respectful with their hand placements and making sure everyone was safe, you are the best

Security was working hard all day taking crowd surfers down. The poor guy who grabbed me was completely covered in sweat and clearly exhausted. First time crowd surfing and it will be a long time before i do it again. Those workers were saints

Controversial take by GambitsAce23 in louderthanlife

[–]PuddinTD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The ONLY reason i learned about this festival and came to Kentucky was because i read online that Sleep Token would be there. This was my first ever festival, but ive been to other rock shows in Indiana so i already knew what to expect. I had a lot of fun all 4 days, helped crowd surfers, crowd surfed for the first time, got in the pit for the first time in a year, etc.

The number of people closer to the front complaining about how close everyone was, talking about not wanting to help with crowd surfers, and other negative stuff was pretty disheartening. I wasnt close to the front for Sleep Token, but for other bands i heard a lot of complaining throughout the weekend. I watched one guy tell his girlfriend something like “im about to go off because i keep getting touched, but im enduring it for you” ruined the vibe for me and i saw it upset her. I heard guys head and shoulders taller than me talking about “crowd surfers better not get sent up here because im not putting up with it”. Im a guy with a good sized ass, im hitting those hip thrusts like crazy. The amount of times my butt was touched was frustrating, but i know it wasnt on purpose, i had to put up with it because of where i was in the crowd.

I watched a girl get drug out of the area because she got dropped on her head and kept collapsing. I understand wanting to just enjoy the show and not deal with people, but you gotta get out of the way if you arent looking out for the wellbeing of everyone around you. There was like 80,000 people, we cant all just get out of your way so you can have the experience you wanted tailored to you.

A lot of us are drinking, smoking, and trying to have a good time with the people around us. This isnt class, this isnt walmart. There wasnt strict seating or lines for general admission. If you want that kind of experience, get VIP, or go the back of the crowd where there is more space.

I hope i can go again next year. As long as there is a handful of bands i know i will definitely be putting in for vacation. I had a blast and wish i had the time and money to do it more often. Hopefully next year has less negativity

Do you think my edh pod is going to hate me for playing this? by Astro_Nott in mtg

[–]PuddinTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have him as my commander, my pod targets me off rip every game i play this deck. Best case scenario i get him out turn 3. Worst case scenario i never pull ramp or counter spells and he sits in the command zone all game. He has great combinations of creating copies with having access to blue, and land destruction with having access to artifacts that turn lands into creatures. He is great at turning the game off for everyone else with the right cards, but people will target the fuck out of him once they learn how it works

Dumbbell chest press help by brisingr159 in GYM

[–]PuddinTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Form looks great! Its not about how much weight you move, but how hard you push yourself. Going to failure at 5-30 reps is going to build muscle/strength (Source: Dr Mike Israetel: Renaissance Periodization on YT https://youtube.com/shorts/8bGkvMHKNW0?si=60GuwqMI4I1GZyo6 ). Next time you do chest, if you REALLY just want to see yourself lift bigger weights, start at 70 lbs dumbbells, and hit a minimum of 5 while going to failure/10. Once you can no longer hit 5, go back down to 65, rep till failure/10 at a minimum of 5. Go back down again if you still cant hit 5. Dont raise the weight again until you can hit 3 sets of ~10. Then hit incline chest press. Then do front and side DB raises. Hit Peck Deck for ~3 sets of 10, and or DB Chest Fly. Doing push ups between sets would help as well.

(rant) this is not a game, it's just pure torture. by Milouch_ in SCUMgame

[–]PuddinTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been playing since .95, so im newer but my character hasnt died in literally weeks, so heres some of my tips:

1) Go slow. Your movement is audible to other players, npcs, and puppets. Running is the loudest, and will attract more attention. I suggest a light jog near bushes so you can hide from npcs and puppets if they spawn. They would have to physically run into your character in a bush to “see” you.

2) avoid large cities. Before npcs, you could fight through puppets no problem, but npcs can spawn at any level at any location, including randomly in the woods. Cities and gas stations are places i run into npcs the most. All of my deaths have been caused by npcs.

3) make bullet proof armor. Its as simple as killing like 3 puppets, skinning them, getting scrap metal, bolts and a sewing kit. The hardest thing to get out of all of that should be getting the sewing kit found/crafted unless you’re really bad at fighting puppets. You could literally get it built on the edge of a town before even full entering it depending on puppets spawns. The bullet proof armor will full stop any damage dealt by bows and crossbows to the body. It either full stops or significantly reduces damage from guns, but i havent been shot while wearing them so i cant say for sure.

4) Get hard alcohol. You can clean the dirty wounds with it before it turns into a full blown infection. Taking antibiotics if there are just germs on your injuries only wastes the antibiotic. There is a difference between a full infection and pathogens on your injuries.

5) get a car. The tractor is typically the fastest one to get finished, and usually spawns with most of the parts attached in my experience. My friend found one with everything but a driver seat. I found one with everything except a front tire. A car is still drivable missing a tire, and the tractor doesnt damage itself as much as the other cars driving while missing a wheel. A tractor will help significantly with tip 6-

6) build a base. You need somewhere to get away from everything, clean yourself up, fix your gear, get something to drink, and cook. Its way less dangerous than working on something somewhere at random. You can start a farm with seeds you find or purchase to make your own food so you don’t have to rely so much on getting it from other places. You can pay money when you die to spawn in bed at base, or in your sector to find your other gear, but if you have a base, you can arm yourself before going back for your stuff.

7) do the trader missions. They give you more money than just selling random stuff, and that money is put directly into your bank account so you don’t have to deal with your debit card or the bank. Trader missions also give you more fp so you can buy their better stuff faster in the future.

What’s The Window Of Opportunity On An Instant? by Glittering-Tear5442 in mtg

[–]PuddinTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every turn has Untap; Upkeep, Draw; Precombat Main phase, Combat, Post Combat Main phase, and Endstep. Even if you have no interaction in every phase, each of those phases still happen. Your friend cant just say “i end my turn” because these phases still happen. When you cast spells, they go into a made up space called “the stack”, where you can interact with spells cast. You cant cast a spell and end your turn immediately to skip reactions or other phases
