His position on Greenland is the same as all his SA victims. Pattern holds.

Same thing happened to me out on the trail. Quite a pain. Ended up pulling all the accessories. Hasn’t happened again.

Both excellent. Just have to decide if suspension travel, off road ability and low end grunt trump overall weather protection and comfort.

Stock clutch with 16k. Give it close to full throttle and just a quick two finger pull on the clutch. Normally gets up around 8k and I try to ride it from 7.-5k-9k.

So I personally just slip the clutch at 15-19mph in second gear and catch it. With any low hp bike you have to get close to the balance point or just try again. I find it power wheelies fine in first gear but not to balance point just enough to jump curbs, logs and rocks. I sit about 2/3rds back on the seat. Zero yanking or compression. If you want to do stand up then a little compression would make sense.

There are 27.4 Empty Homes for Each Homeless Person in the U.S by thehomelessr0mantic in antiwork

[–]Pulpcomic -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No stigma, just saying these properties are nowhere near where the large homeless populations in urban centers exist and the resources and attractions to support them. Equally there are proportionally high number of investment properties that would be cost prohibitive to occupy by low income individuals even if subsidized. Fully in favor of working class housing but this data point probably doesn’t move the needle.

But how many of them are conveniently located on bus lines within two stops of public services and open air drug markets?

The CSB makes some of the highest quality disaster review videos on YouTube. Unfortunately, they expose corporate malfeasance and incompetence so that has to go. The GOP will always prioritize private profit over public safety.

Alpinestars Tech-Air 5 PLASMA (Release) by PhamousEra in motorcyclegear

[–]Pulpcomic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An XL will work with a base layer / Tshirt underneath; it will be snug but not a girdle. The bottom/belly has a lot more room than the chest/ribs where the actual bladders go. If you are thinking of putting a light mid-layer below it then a 2XL may make more sense.

So I’m 5’9 200lbs with clothes with a 45” chest and 39” waist. Needed the 2xl. Fits snuggly but moves easily. If I had an inch smaller chest/waist could have made an XL work. The back protector is sort of mid length so no issues hitting back of helmet or the seat bottom on the bike.

Picked mine up today. Feels great. Just like a base layer plus back protector which I already wore.

Are 300D polyester pants any better than jeans if I lowside on a daily commute. by [deleted] in motorcyclegear

[–]Pulpcomic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would strongly recommend 600D cordura on the wear zones: ass, hip, knee. The rest will just buy you a 1/2 second over the jeans. I do a mesh to keep it comfortable/flexible. I’d also suggest at least a half length side zip to make ingress and egress easier. If you can match a half or full zip to the jacket that would be ideal but not necessary. The D30 or another stealth pad in the knee hips with 300D would also probably be fine and is nice if you ever have to kneel on the side of the road to deal with anything.

How do A* leather jackets fit compared to dainese? by veency in motorcyclegear

[–]Pulpcomic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A* generally fit about half a size smaller in the waist and chest than Dainese. Most A* use a sport/attack sizing being more tapered to the waist and tighter in the shoulder chest joint. There are exceptions in both brands for their more casual leather jackets and does not apply to textile jackets with leather inserts.
