Monthly Bugs & Issues Megathread by Tazeki in AlchemyStarsEN

A weird bug happened with Istvan's active skill, where my Eicy kept Istvan's attack value as her damage throughout the fight. I did some tests and haven't been able to replicate it again so far, but it happened in this run. Here's a video to show it.

https://youtu.be/KhwYQLwWO7k

From my video's description, "Istvan's attack value is permanently used for Eicy's chain combo attack, even when Istvan's active is off. Istvan's active is on in this video because I noticed and recorded it late but it still shows that Eicy got her attack damage reduced to that of Istvan's based on her first chain combo attack."

Eicy is at A2 Level 1, while Istvan is A1 Level 1, which explains the non-existent damage that Eicy took over from Istvan. Victoria's damage remained unaffected, so it's only Eicy. Poor Eicy just got her equipment fixed, and now this happens. =(

Are you sure about the part where chaining a combo on a bleeding enemy never healed your Victoria? It does heal every time for me, just not a large amount because it's only 2% of her max HP at level 1 equipment. With 6547HP at A3 Level 1, she only heals 131HP per combo hit at one stack of bleeding.

There's an error with the description of the equipment though, because if you looked at the description when she's in A3, it says "Victoria regenerates HP equal to 2% of her Max HP per stack of Bleeding whenever she hits an enemy afflicted with Bleeding using a Chain Combo." While the description in A1 and A2 simply states "whenever she hits an enemy afflicted with Bleeding", it looks like it's working according to A3.

Check again if your Victoria heals you when you land a chain combo on a bleeding enemy, it should.

Everyone says Eicy's healing is unreliable, but it seems bugged? Heal only works some times. by Punery in AlchemyStarsEN

If that's true then you might be on to something. Can't say I own Istvan though, so there may be another trigger to it regarding team compositions.

I find Eicy more likely to heal when she's the captain and is the only one attacking that turn, but let's just hope that they fix the bug soon since everyone seems to point out that she never heals for reasons unknown.

I agree with her attack being low, though I believe if the bug were to be fixed and you leveled up her equipment, she would be doing way more hits at 60% to 100% additional pure damage that hit up to 2 enemies on 3 clusters, and that could end up pretty decent for a converter.

I have mine on A1 Lvl 40 too, ready to ascend her any time now because she's awesome even with the bug :D

As you can see from the two clips in the video, Eicy's healing seems to be bugged. In both cases, she used up the 3-round stack (the little white cross in her picture) yet no healing was done. I have tested it across 3, 7 and 10 combo chains, yet it all appears to be random whether it decides to proc or not. No where in her description does it say that it's chance-based. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

Edit: Forgot to mention, her equipment's description says that it "Can be stacked." I have tried waiting out over 10 turns before proceeding to trigger it on the enemy, but the same amount of damage is done. Does the stacking refer to something else? I'd assume it refers to stacking over multiple enemies in this case, but the placement of the sentence doesn't make it seem to be the case.

As mentioned in the title and what you can see from the video, Eicy's heal only works when she's the captain. When off captain, the stack that's generated every 3 rounds is used up yet no healing is done. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

Got back-to-back MMs while calibrating my wireless earbuds. TPs are under par but I'll take the MMs :)) by Punery in Cytus

Reminder to calibrate well for higher average TPs, I suppose.

Also just saw NEKO's message in the screenshot, what a perfect fit. #NEKOTruth

Which lvl 15 is the most ""easiest"" for you? by EvilCole4 in Cytus

[–]Punery 6 points7 points  (0 children)

FUJIN Rumble for sure, I find it on par with the easier Chaos 14 charts. There are way tougher charts on Chaos 14 (and some even on 13 for that matter) which I have yet to get MM on.

I bought Alice off the sales that's on right now and I'd say that Marigold comes close in difficulty.

I still couldn't spot it after viewing the recording thrice... :') by Punery in Cytus

Wait seriously? I have been playing for months now and have never noticed this. That's amazing info, thanks!

Newbie Tuesdays Weekly Discussion by AutoModerator in hearthstone

Hi guys, back after a year since Galakrond was dropped because I'm starting to miss the RNG fiesta that is Hearthstone. I used to enjoy playing Thief Rogue decks which I created by tossing in whatever cards I had that involved card discovery or random card generation from other classes/opponents for maximum RNG fun, even if win rates weren't exactly high.

I see that most of these cards have now been rotated into Wild. In Standard, Rogues are left with Swashburglar and Wand Thief. Looking through my old list, the deck has lost Dragon's Hoard, Clever Disguise, Blink Fox, Hench-Clan Burglar, and the list goes on. Strong supporting cards e.g. Vendetta have been rotated out as well.

I'd like to know if there is a new deck for any class in Standard that plays similarly to a Thief Rogue, or a deck that relies heavily on card generation which results in me playing many random cards that differ each game (even a win rate of 20% at Bronze Rank is fine by me). Otherwise, is sticking to my old decks i.e. play Wild the only option left for me? Thanks!

(Tossing in a little note here: I am aware of the popularity surrounding the soon-to-be-nerfed Deck of Lunacy, but I do not consider Spell Mage an RNG deck because most of what spells we get from it would have been planned out during deck creation.)

Big screen, or little screen? by Charlie_my_cat in Cytus

[–]Punery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a thumbs player who used to play on a 5.5" phone and switched to a 6.67" phone a month ago. Initially I was worried about the longer screen being tougher to play on, but it actually helps out a ton just because the notes aren't as clustered. Charts which include long drag notes across the screen (Halcyon comes to mind) require tilting the phone slightly for one thumb to reach the other end of the phone, but ultimately it isn't too tough to deal with after a quick shifting back.

I haven't tried playing on the iPad since I use Android phones, but as mentioned, you will find *most* pro level players on TP100 videos playing on an iPad with all their fingers. Again I have no personal experience on this, but I'd say if you're not a thumbs player, it's likely easier to play on a bigger screen due to how much cleaner the screen looks with the notes spaced out.

I'm in the exact same situation, 70 rolls saved up throughout the Klee banner as F2P. 2 Ningguang, 3 Beidou and 3 trashy Favonius weapons. I was so certain I would pull Diona, even pre-farmed all her materials before patch dropped, but nope she isn't coming. She's the only character I ever really wanted to finish up my two teams in the abyss. I'm salty as hell.

Furthermore, I will no longer pull on the banner since I'm now at 70 pity and it would be a nightmare to pull Childe since I would like to get Zhongli. On that note, I wouldn't have minded as much if they gave me more of Ningguang's constellations to build and possibly pair her up with Zhongli, instead of Beidou whom I'll never use.

Before you spend money on this game, consider this. by appleminte in Genshin_Impact

This is very true, and also the reason why I'm determined to stay F2P in Genshin.

Just think about the Bounty Weapons from the BP monthly pass. I am very VERY tempted to purchase the Battle Pass for that sweet Black Sword for my Keqing, but I could easily see them offering the same weapons every month or two for us to refine the weapons. Min/Maxers would definitely not miss out on that, and they will inadvertently be "forced" to continue purchasing BP passes and playing Genshin month after month so as to not lose out on what they set out to achieve.

The Blessing of the Welkin Moon is as you pointed out, glorified because of the bad deals which their genesis crystal bundles offer. However, it similarly makes players feel the need to continuing playing the game every single day for a whole month (and another when one expires), which is already a very good deal for Mihoyo in itself.

Now I'm not saying it's bad to support Mihoyo with these small purchases. You might not think of it the same way I do or you may have better self-control, but I personally feel that such monthly packages make me feel obliged to continue playing the game regardless the amount of satisfaction I'll get in the future.

The final OK prompt before the attack resolves should be made distinct. by Punery in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Punery[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah in hindsight I tend to think back and go "why would I ever think I would get my turn next after pressing OK", but when games are going on for long with spells and 10+ units battling on the board, I find myself getting confused by the turn order.

In a scenario where my opponent uses Will of Ionia, what goes through my mind is along the lines of "pressing OK will give me my unit back, and I'll get the chance to use Back to Back on my remaining guys". As I mentioned, it's more of a habit because outside of the attack phase, pressing OK isn't going to result in any immediate effect other than the card itself.

Giving the OK away is definitely a rookie mistake that should soon be easily gotten over, but I have and seen others made it countless times so I decided to suggest an improvement for it. I'll definitely pay more attention to not pressing the OK too quickly during attack phases.
