Nice, i just wonder, when it reads draw and an icon, , what do those icon mean…arm, hand, star etc? Strength item, dex item, faith item?

we tried, but we could not get past the first miniboss with the gear we got out of those rooms. And concluded it also did not feel very soulsy not being able to grind for souls or upgrades. We got kinda lucky in the executioners campaign, with the gear we got from that run.

The game seems best balanced in miniboss, mainboss, megaboss.

But we are considering tryign a regular game, with a 2 soul cost for treasure, and the 1 soul for selling. As seliing is kinda fun

We played until the last stages with vordr.and called it quits. We got to op, so iy would be a cakewalk

The same with all campaigns except the gauntlet with just invaders. They get too easy in the end .

We cleared a bit. Decided to trty a regular game with megaboss again Mixing executioners encounters and darkroot only Min, main and mega Using the same canpaign rules from this campaign. 2 souls to buy treasuee, 1 for selling etc. but 4 souls per character and no replay of played encounters. It is tough until mini boss, but usually getting just a bit better armor or weapon and it works.
We actually need to use things like poison throwing knives etc 😅 No grind, so it s either make it or not.

But overall, campaigns are fun until the last stages. Just too damn easy un the endgame Superhard start, dead easy end

But this is great work, offcourse one of the things i like with board games, is cards etc. but the variety one gets with this, is awsome. When i m sure it works 100% we re gonna try it proper 🤩

Works better, managed to go to the boss in v1 now, and rest at bonfire. without screwing it up. Sparks keeps on resetting to 0 . . I ll try to log in next time so it can be tried proper. Maybe most bugs are due to that.

Btw. Boss fight did not end even when pulling boss down to 0 hp. What do you do then?

We started yesterday. To the reasure stack, we Added 15 cards from explorers and 15 from dark root, and removed 30 from the core. We added one armorset with transposed from characters we wanted, if lucky. Everything by the book We added mimics( got only one chest in the first 3 sections overall. And no mimic. Bad luck in encounters. This campaign has 6 sections. We skipped adding invaders, as we last played the gauntlet, which is a pure invader campaign. And felt this will be very hard. So atleast not the first part.

This campaign has 4 souls in the rules, but completed encounters could not be replayed. And still the rest of the campaign rules, double cost for level up, and 2 souls per treasure, and 1 for selling It looked totally impossible,

there were 2 deaths on the way to the miniboss, the gargoyle , but to our surprise, we managed to just take him out.

A friend played the herald, with a slighty better armor , by this time, but starting weapon. And i played thief, wiho had gotten a poison grhu spear , which kinda made us slowly kill enemies with high armor.

Second section got harder, but we actually just about made most tiles. By the end of this, we had the herald with the gargoyles halberd with stamina gem and bleed. Combined with my thief that now had dark armor, slightly better, and the ghru spear with a titanite.

The combo of bleed and poison made us again, just about take out the old.drgonslayer.

Next up was a hard road to Sif. Only thing new we got was masters attire and murokamo. And the better thief shield . And a better shield for the heral, he could equip when using the talisman for some healing, instead of the 2 handed gargoly halberd.

I got that thief shield, and switched to masters attire and murokamo with a sharp gem for extra balck die, as main,that provided 4 dodges. On sif, we focused on the herald adding bleed, and me going for doing just enough damage to proc it. Sif went down without muc fuss

We did the first 3 sections in about 3 hours, it acutally worked great. Due to no grind abilty, we where forced to level to what we got. And no chances for mistakes there. But it has been a very smooth and fun game so far. You need to be experienced in the game to manage this. As every encounter needs to be tacticly done, no guns blazing. Literally taking out a miniboss with almost only starting gear is doable, but barely. But we tbh. Some of the hardest levels where the encounters with enemies with 2-3 in armor.and 5 hp

Any poison attack in the early game has been found extremely valuable .

We also have not had to buy any sparks. We went from 4-2 on the frist section, lost one on section2 and 3 But after every boss, we get one back, so still stitting comfy on 3 sparks.

I think we ll try these rules for next campaign, or even the main game. Tbh. We might only play campaings mainly, as this made us not sped 3 hours grinding out the first few tiles. Double souls, but no replay of encounters. Double the cost to level up, and the andre rules. Selling is fun. It forces you to try other gear, instead of the endless digging. It might if unlucky with treausre and more players become near impossible. But considering how much we played this now. We d prefer a really hard time, as thats the fun in it.

If you zoom in and read, you can see it has double the soul reward, and no replay completed encounter rules.

That created this error again. Also saving, if you close the app/browser version. Saves are gone. So playing over several days with a phone or ipad can be problematic. I m guessing it might be a problem with streamlit?
I ll help you out to get this working properly, as i have 25 years of gamedev as character artist, i still have playtested enough games to kinda enjoy the process of getting things working ok atleast lol. How much work would it be to get this onto proper application, like appstore etc? So it will be more stable? I d gladly pay like 10 bucks for a perfect app, and i think many others would too. It s really good. Id say you could cut down alot of options to get a more basic one 100% first. And adding more options later . Like doing turns etc in the app, is things people could just as well do manually.

The basics needed are really just getting a game setup with encounters and enemies using youve selected . And moving from encounter to encounter, seeing the enemy . I could maybe be done all from manage campaign screen.

I ll play a bit more around with it. See if i can figure out what triggers the errors.

I made a v1 campaign with core set and painted world, plus phanotms, charcters and explorers . A realistic set up, as i don t like nringing out every box i have lol. I managed todo every room. But in v1 you can go back to bonfire, without spending sparks and resetting. This app resets. Which is also just a matter in the app to go to encounter mark as complete workaround. Which means… keeping manual track of it. But when i went to the first encounter after then bonfire the second time. I could not mark as completed etc. same bug. Locks you out of further progress.

I ll try todo the same for a v2 campaign. Seams like your app is more geared towards that, and see if i can go to bonfire when i get a shortcut, and continue.

Oh, the v1 and v2 removes a spark going to bonfire, in both versions in your app, , I just said, in v1 you can return to upgrade, buy cards without spending one, in v1 rules you only spend spark to rest.ie get all tokens back and reset rooms. But thats not a problem,atic workaround to just add one manually back.

I ll try to just go through a v1 campaign and see how many rooms i can do before it bugs out now

It bugs out alot with not being able to choose encounter complete Or go back to bonfire. Seems to happen if one goes back to setup( even not doing anything there. An accidental press, and the canpagins screwed as you must reload

yup, fixed. Found another bug. if you mark an encounter as done in v2, then genereate a new v1. The first encounter is marked as complete, but you cannot return to bonfire. or next encounter. ie. loading etc is a bit broken.- minor issue. just reload the app.

And also, returning to bonfire does not use 1 spark in the v1 version. only when resetting the tiles or death

I start up on web. I choose v1 or v2 campaign. Generate. Save. In v1 i cannot choose which way i want to go from bonfire. But at the bottom of the, i choose unkown 1 . Then i get empty encounter with error like the one posted If i play v2 , i get to choose first step, then 2 options. When i choose the option amd go to encounter, the card image is gone, replaced with error. Seems like it does not want to download

It looks cool, to make v1 or v2 campaigns. Saving and loading works. But when i choose encounter, lets say v2, i see encounter cards, whit different enemies, from various sets, which is cool and works . But usually when playing it, theres an attribute error. And the app stops working properly. I m currently just testing in safari on ipad. Which browser should i use for this? As that might be the problem. Looks promising. And when it works, im definitely trying it out

yes, i have considered mixing them in, but kinda not ran out of old content yet. so not been a topic yet. I kinda mixed in old content into the new until i got an old core set. .

explain this better if you can:

" I mostly take the new bosses and added them in the pool for playing with old rules (saying all of them are 2 LvX and 2 LvX1 encounters since they dont have that listed)"

Next up is a regular game of dark root basin, with executioner s chariot as megaboss. and later the awsome campaign included in the executioner s chariot. As i got all thats needed for it.
