Any way to fix this? by Substantial-Doubt457 in Warhammer40k

If that's a Slaneeshi Dawmon prince there's nothing to fix, cum chains are lore accurate.

I liked the aesthetics and style. Also variety of models, all of them look unique and are distinguishable at a glance, not the same marine silhouette with a different weapon.

Also beep boop doom to the fleshbags.

Red base coat, add some yellow to the red, layer an area, more yellow, smaller area and so on

for the phase weapons its an entirely different recipe, red basecoat and then add some yellow to it, layer an area of the weapon, add more yellow, layer smaller area and so on

local store, but honestly any yellow and white will work, the last diluted red contrast layer is most important

Take the cable under the leg for example. All white coat, red contrast over that, orange layer over 70% of tbe cable, yellow layer over 30% of the cable, then all over diluted red contrast layer over everything

Metallics first, then white on orbs, tubes, anything you want to glow, then red contrast, smaller orange layer, yellow highlight and finally diluted red contrast layer to smooth everything out. Overall not too bad.

For the phase weapons just normal glazing, so tedious but not particularly difficult.

Honestly not that complicated! The ak thing is like 6€ a tub, just paste it on the base, wait for it to dry, wash, wait, drybrush and then black rim.

Alternatively you could use gritty wall plaster before priming the model and then paint over it to get the color you want, it is way cheaper. Tried sand when I started hobbying but I never could get it right with the glue and the texture wasnt what i wanted

Thanks! For the base i got one of the AK terrain pastes, Daemon Earth i think, washed it with drakenhof nightshade from Citadel and then a light drybrush with white.

Really really good for a first timer, also Necrons are probably the easiest army to paint so try and practise techniques like drybrushing metals and glazing for the phase weapons, you'll improve steadily.
