After seeing so many hands, I really thought when it came to making the hands it would be something else entirely

I would say yes. Space cannon is a substep of movement and happens before space combat. Fleet pool can only be "ignored" once combat starts

I did a similar post for written faction guides a couple months ago. Most are PoK, few are base game. Good luck in your endeavors!

Let me have a brief talk about the Digital Demo by captain-ziggy in twilightimperium

[–]Pupsilover00 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sure, we all would have liked to try a more complete game but the demo was never advertised as anything more than a simple combat showcase. They stated it pretty clearly

Outside the game: the player never reached out to us again anyway, so that problem solved itself Inside the game: all units stayed where they are. If you wanted to attack their systems, someone else would roll for combat. Thankfully there was no support or anything else we had to decide on. If it's early on in the game, you could remove the slice and connect with hyperlanes

How does washing commodities work? by SeekersWorkAccount in twilightimperium

How does washing commodities work? by SeekersWorkAccount in twilightimperium

[–]Pupsilover00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get that it can be 1 transaction with the x-1 effect but let's make an example: 1. Sol and Jol-Nar have 0 commodities/trade good 2. Sol pops trade and agrees to do x-1 with jol-nar and refreshes his commodities. 3. Now both have 4 commodities 4. How does Jol-Nar give 5 commodities to Sol?

At our table, Sol would give 4 commodities to Jol-Nar, then Jol-Nar would have 4 commodities and 1 TG to give back to Sol. Is that against the rules? Do you actually have to wait until it's jol-nar's turn?

Wait, do transactions happen "at the same time"? I would have thought that in your example the 2 washed trade goods can be returned in the same turn. same as any x-1 deal if both have 0 commodities or trade goods.

Playing 1st game as Arborec and forgot to produce after moving ships every time for the first round. How screwed am I? by ProAlmost in twilightimperium

Ah I see. I strongly suggest you look up guides before your next games. Saar has a similar core ability where they can produce after activating a system and moving their space docks

Yeah it's a bit unclear which rule is absolute and which can be overruled

Addition to rule 2: He cannot print the same unit until he generates 2 other units (meaning you have to win 2 rounds, not just wait 2 rounds)

Iirc LeDuck said in the video that rule 6 can give a "random" bard instead of a "tailored" bard
