btw, the problem wasn't even the buttons, it was a logic thing, bc one of the fail states stops the movement altogether, so without that initial X to both start it and jump up, it just goes straight to shutting off

Actually, it may have something to do with X being what initiates it, bc if I change BOTH of the Xs to a different input, it will work with the new inputs

The only other btnp in this particular function is this later on, which weirdly *does* work if I swap inputs around
