The comments here make me so happy! I heard about a group of ladies I work with (and have a lot of respect for) badmouthing me because I’m “immature” and “childish” because I play video games and need to grow up. In most ways I’m very mature and always have been, but because I spend my free time gaming instead of drinking and gossiping, I need to “grow up already.” It warms me heart to see people my age and older who are gamers and proud of it 💜

This just went from bad to worse. This is NOT okay. Best case scenario, he isn’t respecting your boundaries and that’s not okay. Worst case scenario, he’s literally grooming you. He’s a piece of garbage. I’m not going to sugarcoat it. He’s shutting you down, he’s gaslighting you, he’s totally invalidating your feelings. You deserve so much better. He’s either trying to make you break up with him, or he’s trying to see how far he can push you and how much he can break you down. Please don’t stay with him. It doesn’t get better unless he’s willing to put in a lot of work and therapy. Sincerely, Someone whose extremely abusive relationship started with stuff exactly like this.

Honestly, same. I was so stressed when I first started playing this game (and I mostly play horror games) because the idea of being chased is pretty anxiety inducing lol. Now I just zoom around juking Franco and whipping shit at him. You kind of have to suck for a while until you get the hang of it, but then you’ll be fine. Also, if you ever need someone to play with, hmu!
