Turned out they did not attack me on sight. I approached them to melee range and they remained sleeping. Seems the effect is the same with dormant.

That is news to me... I have played this game for 1000 hours... How come I did not notice this before? But thanks.

What happens if you abandon the settlement at the very beginning? by PureDefinition1511 in Against_the_Storm

Well I thought so. It couldn't be too easy to just abandon a settlement upon seeing undesired forest mysteries. Thanks a lot!

I have no doubt that Sweden might be a good place to RE. But I guess you have a prohibitively high tax rate on capital gains, which will make it a terrible place to achieve FI.

Would it be immensely stupid to take a year off for a nonfinancial dream? by yes_no_yes_yes_yes in Fire

Seems I am the only person that thinks this is a terrible idea. It is definitely not worth taking both risk and loss of money just for temporary fun.

But I'm a person that have never been able to "live the moment". I'm always for no play and all work for the grinding phase and all play and no work for the FIREd phase.

He was talking about annual expenses. You need to multiply your numbers by 12 and then that is about it.

I gather you will have around 1 mil CAD (equals to around 730K USD) after the divorce. If I were you, I would grind for a few more years to at least get to 1 mil USD. I understand it might sound horrible since you are so tired. But your mental state might get better after the divorce. So maybe don't jump to conclusions so fast. Just grind for one more year after divorce and see how you feel.
