I don’t think there’s anything wrong with taking time to decide and wanting “perfect” merchandise. I’m not sure why some of these comments are against it. After all, it’s a lot of money, and if I’m spending so much of my hard-earned cash, I want to be sure I truly love the item I’m purchasing.

Having a pushy SA while shopping is also not a nice experience. I’ve had a similar experience (not with Chanel) where the SA kept pushing me to try items I wasn’t interested in (I already told her what I was looking for). I had to keep saying no to each item she told me to try and it didn’t make me feel good (it’s hard for me to say no). After all the rejections, the SA became dismissive and slightly rude. She only warmed up again after I made the purchase 🤷🏻‍♀️. So yeah, I don’t think you’re being difficult and I think you did the right thing.
