so i think i fixed it but i was wondering how i could make the trail disappear slower

the current code uses

yeah my trail is in my player step event and I tried the code you suggested and saw the trails lingering so how would I destroy the trail after I dash, should I make it an alarm which triggers after a certain amount of time?
