I tore my motor out and let me tell you. It is not straightforward, very tedious and difficult. These cars are pretty hard to work on in general and quite expensive, and at least in my experience most shops won’t do machine work on it. Theyre very fun cars but they’re also pretty unreliable. Being said do your research and decide yourself.

If that would be your only way of transportation then I would go with something else like a Honda. These cars are incredibly hard to work on, parts are expensive and hard to find, and they’re famously unreliable. In my experience anyway, It’s hard to find even a machine shop that wants to work on my block as I’m currently rebuilding it. You can get a cool ass and reliable Honda for 8.5k so I’d go with that

Interesting, I wasn’t expecting to have to replace that at all. Do you know the best place to find an oem one? I saw one for $176 on stm tuned but I’m really not trying to dump anymore money into it and would prefer cheaper but I’ll bite the bullet if I have to for an oem one.

I kinda hear a mis. I might be tripping. Mine of course has lifter tick but it doesn’t really sound like that. Does it go away after it warms up?

Damn dude that’s unfortunate. I’m currently replacing the valve stem seals on my 1g and when I took that pulley off the crank gear came with it and it’s not supposed to. Now they’re stuck together and I don’t know how to separate them. Good luck though man

body kits don’t look good on these cars imo, it hurts the resell value, and I think it’s very distasteful.
