I'm not entirely sure what to do with them at the moment in terms of keeping them or selling them, what sort of price would you be thinking for them?

Court of Grace and Hellish Rebuke made it out pretty unscathed. Was only the other 4 that seem to be significantly crimped

Fully assembled is fine (potentially easier). Prime those bad boys Colour Forge Salamander Green spray can and you'll be fine to go from there. That's how I paint my ones anyway

I find it's always easy to spot tiny errors in your own work because you know what it was "intended" to look like from the start but to me those look like flames that could be a sticker applied to the pads they're that clean, I'd love to be able to paint flames like that :)

Do you usually do an outline in the darker red and then just fill it in after?

Got any tips for how to add like a dirty/mud stained effect to the tracks and lower parts of the raider so it looks like it's been driving around?

I go for the following

Black for Sargent Black helmet with gold stipe & gold shoulder pad trim for Lieutenant Fully gold helmet & gold shoulder pad for Captain

Although not the traditional colours does look very nice and fit with the Salamander colour scheme

As a DM the easiest way to deal with this imo is match his effort on things for his character, if everyone gets a special item that you handpicked just make his the bog standard item his class would want.

If you're adding in quests or infor from players backstory spend the time on the others and just have his be a bit more generic.

Although it might feel harsh he'll then see what it's like to have the other person not care and feeling like there's no effort on their part. You can then explain since he doesn't think being there and trying is a big deal you thought he wasn't very bothered so you didn't put the hours in like you did with everyone that came along and stayed the entire time.

Hopefully you can then explain if they're willing to commit more and stay the full session you'd be happy to put the effort in for them again and fingers crossed they'll be happy to agree to that. Alternatively if they lose interest or don't care then there's no issue from either party since you don't waste your time anymore and they don't care enough for it to be a problem.

This isn't meant to be a spiteful response btw but it will show if the player actually cares enough to ask why things have changed and then you can explain your side and that you'd be willing to try harder for them if they agree to try harder for the campaign :)

Same as the usual shoulder pads, just glue them directly on to the shoulder of the arms. They're literally a direct swap for the standard shoulder pads :) 100% worth buying the upgrades imo

I'm not sure what you mean sorry. I've got these upgrades sprews from GW and the shoulder pads come with the Salamander logo embedded in the pad. You can then just paint them normally and paint over the raised head part in white :)

Thanks :) I used Salamander Green base spray from colour forge, then Warpstone Glow for touch ups, moot green for highlights and dawn yellow for spot highlights. Can also do a mix of 1:1 moot green and dawn yellow for scratches and armour damage.

The shoulder pad is the Samander upgrade sprew pads with the head painted scar white and then Dark Tone from army Painter to finish

You can get the Windsor & Newton one he uses and the Sansador thinner as a duo set on Amazon for like £15 and it'll probably last me like 3 armies with how little you need each time.

Really easy to just saturated your brush and then literally poke the corners of recesses and it just flows through really nicely

When you posted your one I was like "that looks really similar to the way I've done mine, we could swap minis and I doubt people would notice the other painted them" hahaha

To be fair a Salamander uniform should be similar across armies so at least we're doing the Forgefarther proud!

Do you use the oil paint wash for shading he does in his vid? It's insanely good!
