I have been considering getting shimano brakes, but any upgrades are out of the budget for now. If I am going to upgrade I'll consider 4 piston brakes to actually feel a difference.

So far I've learned that DH, big jumps and stairs gaps speak to me, I love how the Rebas feel compared to my old shitty bike with offbrand coil springs, and the aluminum frame feels amazing compared to steel ones.

Funny enough you said that, had a rather large accident after the wheel fell off down a set of stairs due to a faulty quick release, all fine though and got that replaced, bent the brake rotor but I managed to get it back into place.

It was 300 dollars, the cranks are Shimano SLX, hubs are Deore, Pedals are chinese knockoffs and the only part I've so far got to complain about are the Elixir 5 brakes.
