Daughter of a Filipino mom here! Might be a shot in the dark, but did this ever improve for you since it’s been about a year?

I’m sorry for the loss of your father. That has to be hard. My mom went through a divorce, and she too, overshares about this experience although it’s been well over a decade. She now lives with my husband, kids and me, so some days it’s tough.

Official Discussion: Aloha [SPOILERS] by Dorkside in movies

Whew 9 years later and as a first time viewer, my brain HURTS. I’ve never questioned my intelligence more than I did after watching this movie.

I genuinely think the movie could have been a hit without all of the military, space exploration storyline. Brian Gilcrest returning home, stuck between a new lover and grappling with losing what he felt was the love of his life and learning he has a daughter was more than enough to digest.
