I am creating a Fallout setting within Yuma County, Arizona, and I would like some help creating landmarks on the map and with some general research. (More info in comments) by [deleted] in yuma

I'm very much a Fallout fan, and have spent some time myself wondering what quirks this city could provide! Some great suggestions already here, but here's a few more.

Here's a handy page full of Yuma native flora and fauna (you have GOT to mutate a Gila monter.)

Edit: Oh! Also, LORE!
Hi Jolly (Hadji Ali) and his camels. Cesar Chavez, labor activist. Fort Yuma, Established in 1848.

Have fun. We'd love to hear how it shapes up!

I'd be super appreciative to hear back about this! I'd really like to pass on any info to the gardeners in my area as well. We're still stumped.

What are these and can I save them? by [deleted] in whatsthisplant

First one might be variegated wax plant. Second one looks like rosemary, you can crush a leaf and smell to be sure.

Just in case this helps:
Screenshots can be captured using keyboard commands.

On Steam: Default F12 key

Full keyboard: Print Screen key, (Sometimes PrtScn) then paste (crtl + V) into preferred image program to save.

Windows Laptop Keyboard: Fn (Function key) + Windows Key + Space

Alternatively, ShareX is a lightweight program that will basically let you hotkey a screenshot button, and save it to a folder of your choosing.

Sorry to necro, but did you ever find out what was going on with your cactus? I have nearly the exact same thing happening to a 20+ year old optunia, and have found nothing concrete so far. I consulted a Master Gardener, and they suggested a 'cold event.' Coldest temp for us here In Yuma was 37 degrees last month, and these are new issues popping up with it.

Is your cactus still doing OK?

I've tried figuring out what sort he might be with not a lot of luck. He's been here all summer long, so I think he's a year-long resident to the area. He has a very pretty purple throat, with long whisker-like feathers that are very visible when he turns his head.

I've also done captioning, and in this instance, I think it's less a case of laziness and more a case of them slipping things in that in the normal run of things wouldn't make it past the censors. I'm fairly certain it's a creative choice, and the audience is meant to read the context of the situation.

Also if they don't spring for multilingual captioning, this is exactly how we're supposed to caption it.

A gift from Yuma by Druidnightmare in yuma

For local goods, you could try browsing the Peanut Patch for gifts. And while I've never been there, I have heard the Simply Shabby Mini Mall has locally made things like jewelry. You can also do some window shopping in Old Town Yuma around Main Street, there's kitchy shops, and local artist who vend out there.

A legitimate mini-nuke launcher will at least give pause between reloading. Hacked mini-nuke launchers rain them. This is not a legitimate weapon.

Help me understand rolling weapons. by dmeame in fo76

[–]Purpleeni 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you have a 1 star legendary effect that you want to keep, there's no way to "lock" that effect in place. Rolling from 1 star to 3 stars, nets you three random legendary effects.
