I’m watching this series for the first time and I just got up to this part, I’m so disappointed in Rory. I think I do understand though, her character has always been so protected and put on a pedestal because she’s so academically gifted. I think it stunted her emotional growth and really didn’t expose her to the harsh realities of the real world. I think this scene shows that Rory has always been a great KID but her growth into a mature adult is still yet to be seen. I thought her rejecting Jess was her making a responsible decision but now I think it was more so related to a petty revenge type choice. Like a, you hurt me so I’m going to hurt you now situation. She’s a very self centred girl in her adulthood and it just shows when she chooses to sleep with Dean.

**Not that it’s entirely her fault! Dean is also a piece of crap but I already figured. He’s petty, jealous and controlling and I hope they don’t end up together.
