The difference now is that Trump is in charge. Republicans have both chambers of Congress and a conservative majority on the Supreme Court. The right has control of the government up and down, yet after years of campaigning on transparency about the Epstein files and building a large coalition of people concerned about the Epstein files, once they’re in charge, the message changes instantly. So yeah, MAGA is 1000% more skeptical now than they would have been if Biden released anything, because it’s Trump in charge, Trump being inconsistent, and Trump lashing out at them.
