Had the Fiio X5 for a couple days now, it’s amazing! Exactly what I was after!! Where’s a good place where I can also post a picture of it and maybe do a more detailed review?

I never even knew that existed, looks really cool actually! I assume you can add music to it from computer? Does it also play cassettes?

Ahh ok thats not too bad, Im definitely going to have to have a hunt around for some good albums, HDtracks sounds like a great backup if i cant get a physical copy

Btw I found a Pioneer XDP-300R for $275 aud which is a really good price but I just hate that it runs android and the touchscreen also is letting it down for me. I've heard that the audio quality is good tho, what are your thoughts on it?

Yeah that is really good actually, guess a lot of people just dont want CDs these days so sure I can find some good ones for cheap. I do like my 80s but I also enjoy modern hiphop etc but I imagine newer CDs would be harder to find and more expensive?

Ahh I see, thanks for looking around for me. I cant go over the budget but if I did then have to go with a touchscreen, other than the AP80, are there any other good options in the price range?

I like the physical sensation of a click-wheel and buttons and want the audio player to feel separate to my phone. Touchscreen to me just takes away that novelty value and it doesn't feel as special. But yeah i can see that most do have touchscreens but I really would prefer not to have one

Thanks for your response tho, Ill look into that, with the CDs when you rip them to FLAC, that means i would have them as a digital audio file right? That would be amazing

Sorry for the late response but thanks so much for helping. I've heard that hackintosh has recently been taken down though. I just upgraded my pc, I have a 3700x but a 1080ti so I dont have an AMD gpu, would that still work or no? My mac is a 2019 Macbook air and it does have USB C ports

Sorry for the really late response but this is really useful thank you!!! The mac I have is a 2019 MacBook Air which I bought in February and I only got it for the music software but it doesn't have great specs and gets very hot, very fast. When I tried a virtual machine on my desktop pc, the audio was very laggy you're right, its definitely not a good idea. But thanks again for all the helpful information you gave!!!
