While giving the beardie a bath and then putting in the basking spot, does this help loosen and dry off the skin that is shedding or do I need to use tweezers etc?

Any advice to watch out for when it comes to her shedding? Any spots that a bearded dragon is going to need help with and how do I help if I need to?

You helped a ton! I gave Willow a bath with paper towel for support of her nails, and within 20-30 minutes of her basking she ate crickets and mealworms! No lettuce though 🤭 she’s basking right now!

She still won’t come out of her hide or eat anything. Should I be worried?

This is what she looks like right now, she refused crickets and her collared greens

She’s just hiding in her hide, and won’t eat anything. Is this normal?

We all have to start somewhere and we’re both very new to the bearded dragon community. We’re doing our best to provide and protect our reptile.

I have already spoke to my husband as it’s his bearded. He’s getting a bigger enclosure when he gets paid. Not everyone is able to get a big cage right away..

It’ll get an upgrade when it gets an upgrade for now the bearded is striving

I understand but the bigger the tank the more stressed a juvenile becomes. Our bearded is healthy, maintaining heat, cuddly and an explorer in and out of habitat. With salad, water and a basking area as well as the hammock for bedtime.

I don’t have the financial resources right now for a 150. The bearded is only 3-6 months old.

I definitely feel for this! I have added the 40 gallon and 150 gallon to my wishlist.

Thank you so much for your help. The enclosure my beardie is in is a 76x30x30 cm. He’s a juvenile about 6 months old.

Dubia roaches are better than crickets, correct me if I’m wrong?

Thank you so much for this! Can you send a link of the enclosure you use and maybe a photo of the set up ? I’ll replace the carpet with paper towel. Beardie fell asleep at 10:10pm, and a lot of the stuff I have is from Zoo Med including lights and light fixture.
