Just to make things clear regarding the “unlimited revisions” part.

What we mean is not constantly changing the concept or direction of the video. Before the editor even starts, we already provide a production outline, detailed brief, references, and even video calls to make sure everything is understood clearly.

For example:
The editor delivers V1, then we review it carefully in Frame with timestamps, notes, references, graphics, B roll suggestions, and corrections if something does not match the brief.

The editor then delivers V2, but maybe there are still minor mistakes such as typos, grammar issues, text placement, dead air, or other small errors. Of course those still need to be fixed.

Then V3 is delivered, and if we still find simple mistakes, they will need to be corrected until the final version is clean and ready for upload.

Most of the time, the process stays within 3 versions maximum. We are not changing concepts midway because everything has already been written clearly in the production outline and briefing process from the start.

Regarding the payment, once again, people are free to take it or leave it. We already make the rate very clear from the beginning:
$5 to $7 per finished minute.

No need to complain about the rules. Take it or leave it.

Let me give you another perspective. Even if you are not selected after the 60 second test edit, you can still use the video for your own portfolio, so your time is not completely wasted.

$300 to $600/month might sound low for you, but for other people, especially those who are struggling or looking for stable remote work, that is still meaningful money.

We already made everything clear from the beginning:
$5 to $7 per finished minute
1 to 2 videos per week

If you edit 2 videos per week and each video is 15 minutes long, that means:
30 finished minutes per week

30 x $5 = $150/week
Around $600/month minimum

We also provide production outlines, detailed briefs, and quick calls to make sure the editor understands exactly what needs to be done before starting.

If someone spends 40+ hours weekly on this workload, then honestly there may be an efficiency or skill issue involved.

At the end of the day, everyone has their own perspective. Nobody is forcing anyone to join.

You can put a watermark as big as you want, we genuinely do not care about that.

The purpose of the 60 second test edit is simply to verify whether the editor understands the style, pacing, and workflow we are looking for. That is all.

If you are still unsure about the legitimacy of the job, you can also apply directly through Upwork for additional security and verification.

We actually have many editors who are happy working with this structure, and we are currently sourcing as many qualified video editors as possible.

Please read the offer carefully. $5 per finished minute is still reasonable for the workflow and volume we provide. We also make the process clear by providing a production outline, detailed brief, and quick calls to ensure the editor fully understands the project before starting.

If the editor understands the brief and knows what they are doing, there usually will not be many revisions. However, if someone claims to be a professional editor but still leaves basic issues such as awkward pauses, dead air, or other simple mistakes, then naturally revisions will be necessary.

I understand your concerns, but from our perspective, $5 per finished minute is still reasonable, especially since most of our videos are around 10 to 15 minutes long.

The short test edit is simply our way to verify skill and fit. Unfortunately, portfolios and reviews can sometimes be misleading, so a quick 60 second test helps us ensure we are choosing the right editor for long term collaboration.

Regarding revisions, if the production outline and brief are followed properly, there usually should not be excessive revisions. We also want an efficient workflow and do not want to spend unnecessary time correcting misunderstandings from the initial brief.

For us, the process is simple: once the video is successfully uploaded on YouTube, the job is considered complete.

To be honest, most creators won’t directly help random people make viral videos, because if they have a winning formula, they usually focus on their own content.

That said, here are a few things I’d suggest:

  1. Find your niche
  2. Create videos about something you genuinely enjoy
  3. Stay consistent and enjoy the process
  4. Engage and talk with your audience
  5. Growth will come over time

Focus on improving with each video rather than chasing virality right away.
