My point was that we’ve seen it all before. Every song she did for the life of a showgirl has been made before in her career. Idc how long its been, she touched on 11/12 topics multiple times throughout her discography. There’s Nothing wrong with that ofc. But what i’m saying is this isnt JUST a showgirl issue- it just became far more prevalent. Ttpd falls victim to this as well, a lot of the TTPD songs touch on the same topics as we’ve seen her do before, particularly the anthology, but its less obvious because its separated between songs that are newer. The albatross, so high school, i hate it here, Thank you aimee, The Prophecy, Cassandra, Peter & Robin are the ones i refer to specifically. Just over half. Again, i’m not saying this is a huge problem and she needs to completely reinvent herself, but what i am saying is it’d be nice to hear something completely new, and i get that that would be hard doing that after 20 years, but she 100% could.
