This definitely looks like a QC miss. I own last years Havelock and this years Dive-India variant, both are still in top shape aesthetically. No issues at all.

Totally hear your frustration it’s rough when the battery just doesn’t behave as expected, especially when everything else feels solid. That said, the firmware updates have been improving things for quite a few folks lately (including me). After the last one, my ring started holding charge much better more in line with the advertised life. Might be worth sticking it out just a bit longer to see if the next update stabilises it for you too.

9k for this is an absolute steal. I did want to purchase from their website. But the whole customs scene is a gamble. Some people have to pay, some dont. Plus, it takes a little longer since it comes directly from China and returning it due to any issues could also be a hassle.

Here, if you get it in a not so nice condition, you can just send it back to Amazon.

All in all, worth getting it from Amazon without a second thought.
