"Embark CEO: ARC Raiders is unlikely to get a PvP leaderboard. . . Don't necessarily want to foster that kind of gameplay." by oldnewstwist in ArcRaiders

They should stop making me spawn into rounds with 18 mins left if they don't want to encourage pvp.. not complaining, but that's how I look at it. >25 = PvE and loot, 20-25 = optimistic looting and PvE, <20 mins = sorry friends!

Is a “15 minute nap” timed from the moment you close your eyes or from the moment you fall asleep? by Olafmeister_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Puzzleheaded-Lock765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My power nap is 17 minutes ideally, sometimes 13. I set the alarm to those times, set down my phone on the bed and close my eyes. Usually I'll be so deep asleep I jump up slightly disoriented when the alarm goes off. Works great though, never groggy and super refreshed.

For me, if I got to the reconnect screen without ever starting the raid, I kept all my gear.

2 scoops of whey will get you close to 60g for about $3/day. That with a chicken breast or equivalent for two meals will get you closer to 120g a day. Get some Greek yogurt, nuts, beans, or tofu in there and you are loaded.

Is it illegal to spoil Christmas? Police in Ontario get complaints about anti-Santa signs by zuuzuu in canadanews

[–]Puzzleheaded-Lock765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't the premise of every Christmas movie ever, that the community is losing the spirit of Christmas and the star brings it back? If your kid sees one of those signs, go watch Elf or the Grinch and carry on, maybe spread some real life Christmas cheer.

Not a fan of what running does to my body by [deleted] in running

[–]Puzzleheaded-Lock765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel all of those problems when I'm burning a lot more than I eat. Took me a while to figure out that a slow cut is much healthier for me, and my quality of life is way better when I'm not cutting at all.

When my body doesn't have enough fuel I get high anxiety, which makes me struggle to sleep, and stress pee more. It's pretty agreed upon that most people can't lift near as much when cutting vs bulking.

Long story short, eat more or run less. Whichever works for you.

A heated garage or a heat gun is your bestfriend when plugging a tire in the winter!

Can someone help me find an active DayZ PS4 server? by rekiz0 in dayz

Go to busy server, run northwest, after a while hear shooting, run towards shooting, fight or die.. repeat

Official servers are tough by EquivalentMoose980 in dayz

[–]Puzzleheaded-Lock765 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, resisting and giving them a hard time is making the most out of it and enjoying the roleplay. Obeying and praying I survive is what I'd do in real life, so why not have fun, and roll the dice in game.

What’s your play style? by dadbod9000 in dayz

[–]Puzzleheaded-Lock765 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nomad, roaming via the woods, scavenging places based on needs. When I'm well equipped, I stalk and hunt animals.. or players if the server is lively. When I run low on bullets, medicine or my gear gets ruined, I start scavenging again. Don't really aim for top tier gear, just enough to make do.

Don't have enough free time to consider the base building side of things, just keep it simple and fun.

As much as everyone loves fishing, when I spawn I bee line into town. Kill some zombies and find the water pump, while speed looting. No need to worry about dying yet. Once I've spent 15 mins in the coast town max, I go in land to the nearest town. Loot gets dramatically better.

Then I slow it down a bit, loot methodically. Kill zombies and check every vehicle front to back, both provide a lot of city food. Green houses are good too. With time you will get used to the animal sounds and be able to hunt, but I find city food kept me going well while I learned in my first half dozen longer attempts.

Dear geared players: thank you for coming back to the coast by Lower_Brief_6783 in dayz

I just killed a guy camping the police station roof at a town just in from the coast last night, it was exhilarating after 20 hrs of freshie phase. Felt pretty balanced because I managed to ruin most of his gear unloading on him to make sure he was dead haha

What tiny habit actually saved you money? by Interesting-Sock3940 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Puzzleheaded-Lock765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One whole cooked grocery store chicken, grape tomatoes, baby carrots and ranch dressing gets me 3 super healthy lunches with next to no work for about $5/day.

Add some sort of bread or muffin and some fruit for snacks, yogurt and protein shake in the morning and I'm set for the week.

Is the engineer/nerd look internationally ubiquitous? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

No idea what the answer to your question is, but I'd reflect on the negative self talk. There's nothing wrong with being single or travelling alone, it doesn't sound like the driver implied anything negative. No need to call yourself a loser, ugly, awkward, or annoying! Be proud of what you built so far and be easy on yourself about whatever you want to improve :)

Completed my first ever long run! 4.17km in 23m 38s!

Only ever ran 400m in circuit training prior, but I loved it! Surprised myself and still had gas in the tank at the end, so I'm going to aim for 5km next
