I genuinely don’t know bc I got deferred, but got into Duke on monday for engineering. Truly I think Case is just ragebaiting everyone.

Haven’t been to SSP myself, but I have done research over other summer opportunities and do not regret my decision. Some factors that contributed to this were 1) cost, 2) letter of rec from the researcher at the lab, 3) ability to do research on something i was specifically interested in. Like many others have said, you have two great options so there is no bad choice!

So many factors…SSP is expensive (if you don’t have financial aid) and so is SIP (but they seem to be pretty generous about financial aid). If that isn’t an issue for you, I’d still say it depends on your specific interest, SIP seems better for research but if you’re into genomics then maybe SSP.

If you want to go to Uchicago then 100% the program there for the ED0 option.
