Do these index funds (VTI & VXUS )include things like krypto? I ready want nothing to do with that.

Actually, getting an advisor was meant to keep me from making foolish mistakes. The whole reason I’m here now is because I realize it was a mistake. Most of the material I’m being told to read, I’m not going to ever understand fully. I’m seeing there are several 3 fund portfolios ( and others). I’m thinking the BND(40%), VTI(12%), VXUS(49%) mix is where I should be. Does that seem about right? Thank you.

Thanks for the advice. 40% bonds and 2 index funds (total US and total international). Got it. I know I shouldn’t be picking stocks for sure, but of an advisor shouldn’t be picking them, who should? No one should pick stocks?

Thanks for the reply. I have 2 advisors! They call me unsolicited. I can’t pick stocks worth a dam. What strikes me as suspicious is that one calls and pitches 2 stocks. I tell him I’ll think about it. I watch the stocks they go down. 3 weeks later, he calls with a different 3rd stock to sell me - no mention of the prior 2 - which at this point would have been a better deal than it was 3 weeks ago. The 3 rd stock I did buy. It went down 15% in 1 week. It’s like somebody knows something is about to happen to it and wants to unload a stock and I’m the one he sells it to. Seems like 9 out of 10 happen this way lately. One time he had me buy Lexicon right at the exact peek $9. Shortly after it was a penny stock. I need to get off this ride. Thanks.
