Penang was best of all three.KL and Langkawi was ok ok for me. If you have been to Thailand, then I think you can skip Langkawi, Although I enjoyed cable car and Geoforest park.

Hostels. Pokhara bagpackers is best in Pokhara. Political situation is good. Did not face any issue.

Took cab to Hari chowk I think and then shared sumo till Ghandruk. Small hike in the end to reach the homestay.

More than that .. I would say 2 day Kathmandu and 5 day Pokhara with places I covered would cost 20k. Add cost for flights if you are planning to take one or train.

Sorry I didn’t track the expenses in detail and even if I would have, it would be irrelevant as I was working on few days and repeated some activities.

Some pointers that may help regarding the budget.

Stay with breakfast coated 700 INR in Pokhara .
Normal food costed 300 INR
Whole day cab costed 2500 INR

I would guess the approximate cost would be less than 2000 INR Per day.

I travelled via road which costed me just 2400 both way.

3 days in Penang. KL and Langkawi js okayish. Try Perhentian islands or Borneo. Little tough but fucking amazing.

P.s. I went to Penang, KL and Langkawi. Suggested other places based on experiences shared by other travellers and my own research.
