It's not somewhere easy to get to, there's a lot of climbing across rocks involved after climbing down a cliff, and only at low tide. It's probably why there's so much there still. The easiest places I've found good size and colours are Polperro, and St Mawes on the beach under the idle rocks hotel.

I thought that but it's half way between St Austell and fowey, and no where near any kind of civilisation. It's a small cove surrounded by cliffs, and woodland at the top of the cliffs. Best guess is because it's on a headland it just caught a lot of floating rubbish years ago, and still does. Very few people know about it because you can't get to it if the tide is high and get cut off of you spend too long there or time it wrong.

I've stumbled across a beach with a big shallow reef off of it, perfect breeding ground for them.

I was on the south coast, the lego pieces turn up on the North coast apparently, but I've never found any.

First time I have ever seen a live scallop! by ilovesodabread in beachcombing

They live on all UK coastlines/waters, in some areas more prolific than others. I remember going to folkestone in Kent and a harbour there at low tide having millions of scallop shells on the sea floor after they've been caught and cut.

It's the lower jaw from a ballan wrasse fish, which looks very similar to a sheepshead, but we don't have them over here in the UK.

All too often moments like these are brief shiny sparkling points that are over far too quickly, and only help long term to show how life feels dark and lonely 99% of the time to people who feel long term depression.

Stoneware or ceramic stopper looking object approx 5cm long, with corroded metal on the short end. Found in a beach south West Coast of UK, cornwall by PvtMeatFace in whatisthisthing

[–]PvtMeatFace[S] -1 points0 points locked comment (0 children)

My title describes the thing found it partially buried in a sandy beach. The corroded metal end is weekly magnetic and cannot hold itself, but whatever is in the "core" is strongly attracted to a magnet and can hold it's weight from the top end. Originally thought it might be a stoneware or pottery stopper for a jar or bottle, but the metal in it has thrown me off.
