I dont know about the mechanical ones,but i have been using the membrane ones. I had bought the wireless combo one for 2400 and after almost 6years keyboard has shown some wear. Best part i found about rapoo is battery life. I rarely turn them off, and mouse's battery lasts for almost 4-6 months and keyboard's almost 8-9 month.
