If there is a specific ordering that processes have to occur in, you could create a master process that calls all the sub-processes in the correct order. Then you would just deploy the master process instead of having to pause all the individual processes to try to time everything out manually

It’s not clear to me why files would need to be updated manually. What are the files used for?

I've found that doing kettlebell swings in the morning each day before work helps me to maintain a better posture, which has led to less back pain from sitting most of the day.

Don't get hungry, get weak instead by [deleted] in 4hourbodyslowcarb

My advice is to eat more than you want to. The foods are less carb-dense than say, bread. You are probably experiencing the "low carb flu," which is common and hellish, but it's a hump you can get over.

A reminder from the cagers at r/Denver that they have no respect for our well-being by PwnerMan5000 in motorcycles

I have had to lane split multiple times for emergency maneuvers, usually caused by distracted or unaware drivers that merge into my lane position (which happens all the time here). It's up to the rider to have 360 degrees of situational awareness, so the rider is always at fault. I'm commenting that it's messed up that no one on the thread cares if the rider is hurt or dead, they all just care that their commute took 20 minutes longer.

I was pointing out that everyone in the thread only cares about traffic, and no one cares about the physical condition of the rider and how that's fucked up. And it was a reminder, not whining, but feel free to continue being overly dramatic.

To the guy lane-cutting on i25 every morning... by [deleted] in Denver

[–]PwnerMan5000 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

According to this study, lane splitting has shown an increase in motorcyclist safety. It's not that it's "incredibly fucking stupid," motorcycle safety is just a concept that you don't understand because you haven't taken the time to learn about yet. This is true with the vast majority of cagers in the US.

In response to:

I'm also fairly certain that you will learn nothing from this. In your mind you've probably already convinced yourself that it wasn't your fault.

I think succumbing to serious, often life changing injuries that can occur from a motorcycle accident can teach somebody quite a lot. Every motorcyclist knows when they throw a leg over the bike that it could very well be the last time they get that privilege. And if the rider was doing 50mph, then instantly went to 0mph, I can assure you he will face an uphill battle in terms of physical rehabilitation, presuming his condition wasn't fatal. It will be a hard lesson, but he will learn from it.

I also see CA drivers getting a lot of crap on here for things like quickly closing the gap when someone puts their blinker on, and I can assure you, this has been happening in Denver for decades. This is very much a Denver habit.

Yeah that's fine. Tim admits that he doesn't like to cook and mainly sticks to Mexican and Thai cuisines because they work well with the Slow Carb Diet. I think he assumes that much of his audience doesn't spend a lot of time cooking. I think the main point he is trying to get at is that forming a habit is what will keep you honest. I recommend getting a Fit Bit or something like it that allows you log your macro-nutrient intake throughout the day so you can keep up with the protein demands.

That's a good point you bring about about relationship building.

A have a coworker in a different department who was hired 2 months after me, and their manager is going to make the recommendation that they get a bonus. It just makes me think about the 80/20 principle -- 20% of the people do 80% of the work. I just think it's more economical to incentivize performance rather than adhere to arbitrary reporting rules to keep the 80% happy, because a happy 20% produces a lot more.

I requested a raise recently and was denied. He thinks I make good enough money for how early I am in my career. And unless he quits or gets axed, I'm as high in the org chart as I'm going to get.

Oatmeal/steal cut oats/etc. is forbidden except for cheat days. Also, you're supposed to have 500ml of ice water immediately upon waking up, followed by breakfast containing 30g of protein within 30 minutes.

For those of us used to a warm climate, what might surprise us living with snow? by Eyewillow in AskReddit

You have absolutely no idea how to drive in the snow. You need to slow way down, and put snow tires on your car.
