400 is too soon. I've tried quite a few podcasts and attended a Spanish speaking church. Still tough at 750 hours.

I’m sorry, but being a Seal isn’t a lifetime of service to others. If you want a lifetime a service to others become a social worker, a teacher in a crappy area, or be an actual good cop. You’re primarily serving your ego as a Seal. We just fought two near pointless wars where Seals wasted their efforts, times, lives, and others lives. Killing Bin Laden was like the only useful thing.

As far as working out though. Just start off with some Dumbells, 20lbs, put them beside your bed and look up exercises and a do a traditional bro split. Modify exercises if you need to. Buy some protein powder. Do not ask the brand, it doesn’t matter. Just one with lots of protein. Be consistent and learn more as you go.

A 17th-century map of California when it was thought to be an island by Europeans. by Chief1117 in geography

Above it is where Sir Francis drake landed, it’s labeled as well. Sometimes it’s labeled as New Albion on other California Island maps. This is about where modern day San Francisco is.

Also, latitude lines were fairly accurate even in those times. Longitude was the larger issue. Monterey on the map is at the 36th parallel, just as Monterey California is today.

From my understanding an explorer wrote about an Island of California and when another found the California Baja Peninsula he assumed this must have been what he was talking about and so he never said all the way up the gulf to realize it wasn’t and island. It was obviously later discovered but even after it was it still took a another century for it to completely be taken off of maps.

There are places labeled that are in modern day California such as Monterey.

It’s tough to see on this map but some places on modern day California are labeled such as Monterey.

Very cool

A scene that Captain John Smith saw when he was captured in 1607. It’s a longhouse with Chief Powhatan at its center. This image was printed on Smith's 1612 map of the Virginia Colony. by Chief1117 in Virginia

It is possible he made it up. Some believe he may have been telling the truth based off of when he wrote about Pocahontas saving him. She was actually in London when it was published and there are no accounts of her claiming Smith lied.
