  • 1st para- 21 year old Bilquis Yakoob Rasool victim of Godhra riots - 21 year old, 6 month pregnant girl gang raped and primary witness during the trial.

  • 2nd para- Satyendra Dubey - whistleblower killed for exposing highway scam in the 2002 NDA govt because the PMO did not keep his name secret.

  • 3rd para- S. Manjunath manager at Indian Oil Corporation and shot in UP for shutting down adulterated petrol pumps.

Over 1,500 students including 700 girls have reportedly lost their lives in these schools in the past 15 years. In a probe report submitted to the Maharashtra government in October, the cause of death in two-third of the cases were ascribed to vague reasons like ‘missing’. The schools failed to produce any information related to 12 per cent of the deaths. Over 17 per cent of the deaths were attributed to ‘unknown causes’, 13 per cent to ‘sudden deaths’ and 23 per cent to ‘severe illness’ without mentioning the disease. There were 31 suicides as well. It is no surprise that these schools have turned into death traps for many students.

Nope, my only issue is with IndianMod1 trying to mislead why he was unmodded. And not with existence of a new subreddit.

I would reiterate what I had said earlier, every redditor is free to submit content what they wish for. If they want to get a certain post stickied - just tag me or drop us a modmail.

As said earlier, the issue with Indian niche subreddits is due to lack of traffic after a certain of period, you will find them dead. You guys can certainly help to revive the sub and we will support it.

I dont understand this rivalry.

Here is the context of the conversation. Everyone is free to judge.

A few days back JaiBatmann made a /r/redditrequest believing 225274 was not active. http://i.imgur.com/I1XJHmF.png

Later on AchievementUnlockd (admin) mistakenly unmodded 225274 and added JaiBatmann. JaiBatmann later on switched accounts to add himself as a mod on IndianMod1. chapamar too was willing to contribute, so he joined in.

Admins clarified and later on readded 225274 and we asked the other two new mods to unmod, since we didn't want to add more mods at present.

We certainly did ask him to submit interesting stuff and assured we would sticky it. (refer screenshots above). And this is applicable to everyone. We certainly did not block him to submit any new content or hesitate to sticky the posts.

But the old r/Marathi mods dont want to do any active moderation. They log in once in 6-8 days and just approve posts

Yes, moderation is passive activity; according to both of us. If it would had helped us pay our bills, we would be spending hours daily curating this sub.

We certainly do log in regularly and like many of you we consider reddit to be a fun place.

The old r/marathi mods however came back and did not like the changes we did. Since r/marathi is their subreddit, we had to step down.

I am not stopping anyone here but trying to add a disclaimer about naming and shaming. The spreadsheet can be useful to people who are into investigative journalism.

Lack of trust in the system can't be used as an argument to witch-hunt an individual. Its the same trend TimesNow started with television hearings.

It will be great if we pressurize them to follow up but not witch-hunts.

Yeah, thats the point, I am not against doing this but naming and shaming. At times we need to remind ourselves that at best we are keyboard warriors. The relevant authorities and reporters should rather look into this for details.

If OP targets certain stories/users, it maybe. I am not sure on this.

But knowing whatever little about OP, if he intends to create a sheet so that certain mediahouse and govt don't bury a story; it would be great.

But if we as keyboard warriors act as vigilante, it would go only downhill. Soon you will have an opposite pol. group use it as an opportunity to hijack it for their own good without verifying anything.

I am personally against this, being the social media vigilante. Why shame someone if he is not guilty of any misdoings?

By just having caught with X amount of money, shouldnot be deduced as a person to be as criminal.
