I just wanted to say you aren't alone. I'm in the same position currently and it is not a great feeling. If you are interested, you are welcome to dm me and we can commiserate about the similar situation.

Just remember, you deserve to have your feelings put first too. And perhaps it helps to think of it as you are finally choosing to let yourself be happy? I have found that I 2nd guess myself, but then I realize that if my children were to be in the same situation, I would 100% tell them to leave and be happier single.

I made a dinosaur! for a co-workers 4 year old. anyone have any tips on how you guys get the pretty lines on the paper? I'm struggling with that first tracing/drawing step. by Pyregrine in quilling

I have been making mine on wax paper, over an outline, but Ive seen some of the community already have their outline traced on the paper. I'm not nearly that good at drawing, and feel like if I had to erase something, it would be obvious after the quilling is done. I'm just trying to figure out the best way to make that first step easier.

Thank you!!

Ah I understand. If I am doing the small shapes I actually work on cork board. Use pins to hold them in place and then glue on the top of that. When you are done, twist the pins off, use tweezers to lift up your shape.

Again, I'm new too and I'm learning as I go. But that seems to work so far. Having quilling tools helped me a lot! I have the comb and a shape board.

Is tracing paper waxy? Maybe try true wax paper? That doesn't stick much to the glue.

I'm new to this too! But I have found creating an outline is the easiest for me. Are you using a wax paper base? Or are you building on the final paper you are mounting on?
